Inleiding
Aan de westelijke zijde van de R.K. begraafplaats te Oirschot staat het GRAFTEKEN van A. de Laat, uit omstreeks 1901. Het grafmonument heeft in de detaillering elementen van het Neo-Classicisme.
Omschrijving
Het grafteken bestaat uit een tombe met opstaand grafmonument, bekroond door een grafkruis. De tombe heeft een getrapte opbouw met profiellijsten, samengesteld uit torus, riem en trochilus. Het monument heeft opzij aangehangen hardstenen kransen, een opbouw met nis met inscriptie R.I.P. en een opstaand kruis met klauwstukken aan de voet.
Op de dekplaat, die in laag-reliëf is voorzien van palmtakken, staat de inscriptie: "Ter gedachtenis van mevr. Arnoldina de Laat / Echtg. v. d. wele. Heer Franc. Hub. Goossens / geb. te Oostelbeers 21 nov. 1829 en overl. te / Oirschot 31 mei 1901".

On the western side of the R.K. cemetery at Oirschot stands the GRAVESTONE of A. de Laat, from around 1901. The grave monument has elements of Neo-Classicism in its detailing.

The gravestone consists of a tomb with an upright grave monument, crowned by a grave cross. The tomb has a stepped structure with moulded profiles, composed of torus, fillet and trochilus. The monument has hardstone wreaths attached to the sides, a structure with a niche containing the inscription R.I.P. and an upright cross with claw feet at the base.
On the coping slab, which is decorated in low relief with palm fronds, is the inscription: "In memory of Mrs. Arnoldina de Laat / Wife of the late Mr. Franc. Hub. Goossens / born at Oostelbeers 21 Nov. 1829 and died at / Oirschot 31 May 1901".
