Inleiding
Deze oorspronkelijk tot het landgoed Biljoen behorende fraaie T-BOERDERIJ annex voormalig VEERHUIS met SCHUURTJE is gelegen nabij de IJssel in de Velperwaarden op een lichte verhoging in het landschap. Het veer bestond uit een voetveer dat de verbinding vormde tussen Velp en het aan de andere zijde van de rivier gelegen Lathum. Het pand wordt reeds vermeld als veerhuis, stal en erf op het in het in 1817 ingemeten kadastraal minuutplan van 1832 en heeft dan als eigenaar A.J. van Spaen van de Ringelenberg en Biljoen. Het achterhuis vormt het oudste deel van het pand en dateert mogelijk reeds uit de late 18de eeuw en verkeert intern in een nog vrij oorspronkelijke staat. Het voorhuis dateert van 1905 en heeft in het interieur enige wijzigingen ondergaan in de loop der tijd. Het pand en de bijgebouwen zijn nog steeds in de voor de tot Biljoen behorende gebouwen karakteristieke kleuren wit en rood geschilderd. De met de voorgevel naar de rivier gekeerde boerderij grenst met de linker zijgevel direct aan de weg en heeft aan de andere zijden een erf waarop zich verschillende schuurtjes en een schuurberg bevinden.
Omschrijving
De witgepleisterde boerderij is gebouwd op een nagenoeg rechthoekige plattegrond en heeft een voorhuis met twee in hoogte verschillende bouwlagen onder een overstekend schilddak (met naar binnen geknikte schilden) gedekt met gesmoorde Muldenpannen. Op beide nokeinden bevindt zich een gepleisterde schoorsteen. Het achterhuis heeft een boven de achtergevel afgewolfd zadeldak gedekt met rode Hollandse pannen. Het voorhuis heeft een decoratie bestaande uit een eenlaags in schoonmetselwerk uitgevoerde horizontaal lopende band ter hoogte van de onder- en bovendorpels van de vensters. Boven de plint en tussen de begane grond en de verdieping bevinden zich in schoon metselwerk uitgevoerde horizontaal over de gevels lopende rollagen. Boven de vensters en overige muuropeningen van het voorhuis bevinden zich in schoon metselwerk uitgevoerde segmentboogvormige rollagen.
De VOORGEVEL heeft een asymmetrisch ingedeelde gevel met op de begane grond van links naar rechts: dubbele tuindeuren met een 4-ruits bovenlicht, twee vensters met een T-schuifraam, een eenvoudige voordeur met een enkelruits bovenlicht en tenslotte weer dubbele tuindeuren met een 4-ruits bovenlicht. De verdieping heeft drie T-schuiframen.
De LINKER ZIJGEVEL van het voorhuis heeft een symmetrische indeling met zowel op de begane grond als de verdieping twee vensters met T-schuiframen.
De gevel van het achterhuis heeft drie halfronde gietijzeren stalraampjes.
De ACHTERGEVEL heeft een symmetrische indeling met in het midden door een segmentboog afgesloten deeldeuropening met dubbele deeldeuren. Aan weerszijden bevindt zich een getoogd gietijzeren 9-ruits raam. Zowel uiterst links als rechts bevindt zich een getoogd opgeklampt staldeurtje.
De RECHTER ZIJGEVEL van het voorhuis heeft een asymmetrische indeling met links een kelderlicht en rechts zowel op de begane grond als de verdieping een venster met een T-schuifraam. Rechts hiervan bevinden in het hier deels opgewipte dak van het achterhuis een rechthoekig raampje en een lage staldeur en daarnaast een mestluik.
Bijgebouwen:
Dichtbij de boerderij aan de noordzijde bevindt zich een waardevol vrijstaand witgepleisterd eenlaags SCHUURTJE. Het op een rechthoekige plattegrond gebouwde schuurtje heeft een zadeldak gedekt met gesmoorde Muldenpannen dat aan de korte zijden voorzien is van windveren.
Waardering
T-BOERDERIJ annex voormalig VEERHUIS met SCHUURTJE.
Architectuurhistorische waarden:
- Het pand is van belang voorbeeld van een T-boerderij met een mogelijk nog uit de late 18de eeuw daterend achterhuis en een uit de vroege 20ste eeuw (1905) daterend voorhuis dat opgetrokken is in de voor de bouwtijd kenmerkende Overgangsstijl.
- Het pand is van belang vanwege de gaaf bewaarde hoofdvorm, de detaillering en het materiaalgebruik.
Stedebouwkundige waarden:

Introduction
This fine T-FARMHOUSE formerly belonging to the Biljoen estate, together with a former FERRY HOUSE and BARN, is situated near the IJssel in the Velperwaarden on a slight elevation in the landscape. The ferry consisted of a foot ferry that provided a link between Velp and Lathum on the other side of the river. The building is already mentioned as ferry house, stable and yard on the cadastral minute plan surveyed in 1817 and registered in 1832, at which time its owner was A.J. van Spaen van de Ringelenberg and Biljoen. The rear house forms the oldest part of the building and possibly dates from the late 18th century and retains a fairly original internal condition. The front house dates from 1905 and has undergone some modifications to its interior over time. The building and outbuildings are still painted in the colours characteristic of buildings belonging to Biljoen, white and red. Description
The whitewashed farmhouse is built on an almost rectangular floor plan and has a front house with two storeys of different heights beneath an overhanging hipped roof (with inward-curving hips) covered with muffled Mulde tiles. On both ridge ends there is a plastered chimney. The rear house has an outturned gabled roof above the rear gevel, covered with red Dutch tiles. The front house has a decoration consisting of a single-storey horizontal band executed in fair masonry at the height of the lower and upper window sills. Above the plinth and between the ground floor and the first floor there are horizontal rolled mouldings executed in fair masonry running across the facades. Above the windows and other wall openings of the front house there are segmental arch-shaped rolled mouldings executed in fair masonry.
The FRONT GAVEL has an asymmetrically arranged facade with, on the ground floor from left to right: double garden doors with a 4-pane fanlight, two windows with a T-sash window, a simple front door with a single-pane fanlight and finally again double garden doors with a 4-pane fanlight. The first floor has three T-sash windows.
The LEFT SIDE GAVEL of the front house has a symmetrical arrangement with two windows with T-sash windows on both the ground floor and the first floor.
The gavel of the rear house has three semicircular cast-iron stable windows.
The REAR GAVEL has a symmetrical arrangement with in the centre a half-door opening terminated by a segmental arch with double half-doors. On either side there is a round-topped cast-iron 9-pane window. Both at the far left and right there is a round-topped secured small stable door.
The RIGHT SIDE GAVEL of the front house has an asymmetrical arrangement with on the left a light well and on the right both on the ground floor and the first floor a window with a T-sash window. To the right of this there are in the partly raised roof of the rear house a rectangular small window and a low stable door and beside it a manure opening.
Outbuildings:
Close to the farmhouse on the north side there is a valuable detached whitewashed single-storey BARN. The barn, built on a rectangular floor plan, has a gabled roof covered with muffled Mulde tiles which is provided with wind braces on the short sides.
Valuation
T-FARMHOUSE together with former FERRY HOUSE and BARN.
Architectural-historical values:
