Omschrijving onderdeel 1: HUIS, 1845.
Bakstenen gebouw op rechthoekige plattegrond (oostwest lopend), met twee bouwlagen onder omlopend flauw hellend en midden op afgeplat schilddak met grijze platte Friese pannen en twee verschillende eenvoudige schoorstenen: één in het westelijke dakschild, de tweede op de oostelijke helft van het platte dakdeel; eenvoudige kroonlijst als gevelbeëindiging; gepleisterde verspringende geblokte hoeklisenen; plint deels van natuursteen, deels gepleisterd; symmetrische voorgevel (zuidgevel, op het park gericht) met vijf traveeën, waarvan de twee buitenste het breedst zijn en iets uit de gevel springen; hierin op de parterre brede 16-ruits vensters, op de verdieping vierruits ramen; het middendeel van de gevel heeft drie achtruits tuindeuren met een omlijsting van geprofileerde baksteen en halfcirkelvormig bovenlichten; erboven een breed balkon (XXb) op consoles; op de verdieping drie corresponderende licht getoogde vierruitsramen, waarvan de middelste als balkondeur fungeert; erboven een dakkapel met tonvormig dakje; in de symmetrische oostgevel (drie traveeën breed) bevindt zich de oorspronkelijke dubbele veelruits voordeur (gericht op de korte oprit naar de Boekhorstlaan) met bijzondere roedenverdeling met smeed- en gietijzeren ornamenten; ter weerszijden van de deur een achtruits empirevenster; op verdieping drie vierruits ramen; westgevel: beneden rechts een moderne dubbele drieruits terrasdeur en verder twee kleine vensters; verdieping met twee vierruits vensters; in de achtergevel (onregelmatige indeling): ingangspartij in neo-Lodewijk-XIV-stijl en drie neokruisvensters (alle midden XX); verder nog vier verschillende ramen. Inwendig o.m.: hall: eiken deuren en hangschouw in neorenaissance stijl; trap met vrij hangende eiken treden met smeedijzeren balustrade (midden XX); kamer in zuidoosthoek: rijk cassettenplafond in stucwerk, waarschijnlijk uit de bouwtijd; verder een witmarmeren schouw in L.XV-stijl, XIXc; tuinkamer: roze marmeren schoorsteenmantel, laat XVIII; onder het oostelijk deel van het huis een gepleisterde kelder met korfboogvormig gewelf.
Waardering
Het HUIS is van algemeen belang:

Description component 1: HOUSE, 1845.
Brick building on rectangular plan (running east-west), with two storeys under a continuous shallow-pitched hipped roof with grey flat Frisian tiles and two different simple chimneys: one in the western roof slope, the second on the eastern half of the flat roof section; simple cornice as gable termination; plastered staggered rusticated corner pilasters; plinth partly of natural stone, partly plastered; symmetrical front facade (south facade, facing the park) with five bays, of which the two outer ones are the broadest and project slightly from the facade; herein on the ground floor broad 16-pane windows, on the first floor four-pane windows; the central section of the facade has three eight-pane garden doors with surround of moulded brick and semicircular fanlights; above a broad balcony (XXb) on consoles; on the first floor three corresponding lightly arched four-pane windows, of which the central one functions as a balcony door; above a dormer with barrel-shaped roof; in the symmetrical east facade (three bays wide) is located the original double multi-pane front door (facing the short drive to the Boekhorstlaan) with distinctive glazing bars with wrought and cast iron ornaments; on either side of the door an eight-pane empire window; on first floor three four-pane windows; west facade: below right a modern double three-pane terrace door and further two small windows; first floor with two four-pane windows; in the rear facade (irregular layout): entrance section in neo-Louis XIV style and three neo-cross windows (all mid-20th century); further four different windows. Internally inter alia: hall: oak doors and decorative lintel in neo-Renaissance style; staircase with freely suspended oak steps with wrought iron balustrade (mid-20th century); room in south-east corner: richly coffered stucco ceiling, probably from the time of construction; further a white marble chimney-piece in Louis XV style, 19th century; garden room: pink marble fireplace surround, late 18th century; beneath the eastern part of the house a plastered cellar with barrel-vaulted ceiling.
Valuation
The HOUSE is of general importance:
- on account of its age;
- as a fine example of a country house from the middle of the 19th century;
- on account of the architecturally interesting alterations in the 1920s and 1950s of the 20th century.
