Inleiding
Ten westen van kazemat 433 staat op de zuidelijke kade van het Defensiekanaal de S (3a) KAZEMAT 434, daterende uit 1939-1940.
De wal is ter plaatse aan de zijde van het kanaal gedeeltelijk afgegraven.
Omschrijving
De kazemat staat op een plaats waar een toentertijd doodlopende landbouwweg op ca. tweehonderd meter ten noorden parallel aan het tracé van het kanaal loopt. De S-kazemat kan flankerend vuur uitbrengen op deze landbouwweg en frontaal en flankerend vuur op het kanaal en het voorterrein. De kazemat is gaaf bewaard gebleven en vertoont geen gevechtsschade.
Waardering
De kazemat is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een culturele en geografische ontwikkeling, namelijk de versterking en daaropvolgende verdediging van Nederland tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en is als zodanig een belangrijk document van de militaire geschiedenis. Het is van architectuur- en bouwhistorisch belang wegens het bijzondere materiaalgebruik en de toepassing van moderne materialen en technieken, met name in de verwerking van gewapend beton. Het heeft ensemblewaarden als essentieel onderdeel van een groter geheel, dat cultuurhistorisch van belang is en is van belang wegens de hoogwaardige kwaliteit van de bebouwing en de historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met wegen, wateren en bodemgesteldheid. West of casemate 433, on the southern bank of the Defence Canal, stands the S (3a) CASEMATE 434, dating from 1939-1940.

Description
The casemate is located at a place where a then dead-end farm track runs approximately two hundred metres to the north, parallel to the course of the canal. The S-casemate can provide flanking fire on this farm track and frontal and flanking fire on the canal and the foreground. The casemate has been well preserved and shows no battle damage.
Valuation
The casemate is of general importance. The object has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a cultural and geographical development, namely the fortification and subsequent defence of the Netherlands during the Second World War and is as such an important document of military history.
