Inleiding
WOONHUIS uit 1875 gebouwd voor Maria Wagemakers. Het huis ligt vrij op het perceel met de voorgevel aan de Dorpstraat en toont elementen van het Neo-Klassicisme.
Omschrijving
Eenlaags huis met rechthoekige plattegrond en zadeldak parallel aan de straat. Het dak is belegd met grijze Tuile du Nord pannen. Het opgaande werk bestaat uit gele handgevormde baksteen in IJsselformaat gemetseld in kruisverband. De gepleisterde voorgevel is voorzien van een kroonlijst en eenvoudig fries en plint. De monumentale ingangspartij heeft pilasters en kroonlijst op voluutvormige consoles.
Voordeur met snijwerk. Zesruits schuifvensters met rolluiken, rolluikkasten met zinken ajourwerk.
In het huis, waarvan de indeling grotendeels ongewijzigd is gebleven, bevindt zich onder andere een kelder met erboven een opkamer. Frontaal voor het huis een stoep van kunststeen reliëftegels met geometrische motieven. Het erf is aan de straatkant afgescheiden door een ijzeren hekwerk met pijlpunten tussen balusters.
Waardering
Het woonhuis is van algemeen belang. Het is van cultuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling van de Baronie en als vertegenwoordiger van de typologische ontwikkeling van het dorpswoonhuis. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde als late vertegenwoordiger van een aan de dorpse omstandigheden aangepast Neoklassicisme.

Description
Single-storey house with rectangular floor plan and gabled roof parallel to the street. The roof is covered with grey Tuile du Nord tiles. The masonry consists of yellow hand-moulded brick in IJsselmould laid in English bond. The rendered front facade is provided with a cornice and simple frieze and plinth. The monumental entrance section has pilasters and cornice on volute-shaped consoles.
Front door with carved work. Six-pane sash windows with roller shutters, roller shutter cases with zinc perforated work.
In the house, the layout of which has remained largely unchanged, there is amongst other things a cellar with a small chamber above it. In front of the house a step of artificial stone relief tiles with geometric motifs. The yard is separated from the street by an iron railing with arrow points between balusters.

The dwelling house is of general importance. It is of cultural-historical importance as an example of the socio-economic development of the Barony and as a representative of the typological development of the village dwelling house.
