Inleiding.
JACHTHUIS uit 1900, gebouwd door notaris Huijsmans, die woonde op het landgoed Annanina's Rust in Diessen. Het jachthuis werd gebouwd midden op het middeleeuws hoevecomplex Thulden of Thulder, waarvan de restanten in de vorm van parcelering, houtwallen, beplanting langs wegen en (in de vorm van lindenbomen) bij vroegere bebouwing nu nog grotendeels te zien zijn.
Het oude hoevecomplex lag toen temidden van woeste gronden, waar de levensverzekeringsmaatschappij "de Utrecht" de ontginning van het landgoed "de Utrecht" startte.
Het huis heeft een samengestelde plattegrondsvorm, bestaande uit een voorhuis en aangebouwd achterhuis, vrijstaand op het perceel rondom liggend in de bossen van het landgoed.
Omschrijving.
Het drie traveeën brede symmetrische voorhuis heeft één bouwlaag met een zolderverdieping onder zadeldak met een versprongen dakvoet. Het lage achterhuis heeft eveneens een zadeldak, waarvan één dakvlak in het verlengde ligt van dat van het voorhuis en het andere heeft een overstekend gedeelte gedragen door twee houten staanders. De daken zijn belegd met grijze kruispannen. Het huis heeft kruis- en kloostervensters voorzien van roedenramen en onderluiken met in de top van de voorgevel een bolkozijn eveneens met roedenramen. In de top van de achtergevel een rond gietijzeren roedenraam met geometrische verdeling. Het opgaande werk bestaat uit witgepleisterde baksteen en cementen plint.
In de voorgevel twee gevelstenen met op de ene het opschrift: E.M.J.W.E.
Huijsmans Heer van Aalst en Thulden notaris 3.10.1900 en de andere: een wapen in bas-relïef van de abt van Averbode, met zijn wapenspreuk "Nequid Nimis", de bisschopsmijter die de abt gerechtigd was te dragen, en het opschrift "anno 1662". De steen is afkomstig van de ter plaatse afgebroken leenhoeve van de abdij van Averbode, waarvan Huijsmans de laatste eigenaar was.
Waardering.

HUNTING LODGE built in 1900, constructed by notary Huijsmans, who resided on the estate Annanina's Rust in Diessen. In the apex of the rear gable a round cast-iron glazing bar window with geometric division. The walls consist of whitewashed brick and cement plinth.
In the front gable two gable stones, one inscribed: E.M.J.W.E. Huijsmans Lord of Aalst and Thulden notary 3.10.1900 and the other: a coat of arms in bas-relief of the abbot of Averbode, with his motto "Nequid Nimis", the bishop's mitre which the abbot was entitled to wear, and the inscription "anno 1662". The stone comes from the freehold farmhouse of the abbey of Averbode demolished on site, of which Huijsmans was the last owner.
Valuation.
