Inleiding.
DIENSTWONING met kleine SCHUUR, gebouwd omstreeks 1920, is gelegen als tweede in een rij van vier woningen op de zuidoostelijke hoek van de T-kruising De Vier Winden - Lage Mierdseweg. Het gebouw staat haaks op het onverharde De Vier Winden. Achter het huis is een in het verlengde van de as van het huis een kleine schuur gebouwd.
Omschrijving.
Het eenlaagse huis heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en wordt gedekt door een afgewolfd zadeldak met muldenpannen. Tegen het oostelijke dakschild staat een lage dakkapel, op de nok bevindt zich een gemetselde schoorsteen.
De gevels zijn opgetrokken in baksteen en hebben een gecementeerde plint.
In de noordelijke gevel bevinden zich twee samengestelde houten vensters met tienruits bovenlicht en twee vierruits onderlichten, voorzien van paneelluiken met diabolobeschildering. De kapverdieping wordt belicht door een dubbel openslaand vierruits venster. De oostelijke gevel heeft een driedelig samengesteld houten kruisvenster, voorzien van kleine roedenverdeling (zesruits bovenlichten, vierruits onderlichten). Links daarvan is in de oostelijke gevel waarschijnlijk omstreeks 1950 een dubbel openslaand zesruits venster aangebracht. Het zuidelijke deel van het huis was in gebruik als stal. Een achtruits ijzeren stalvenster in de oostelijke gevel, en een opgeklampte deur in de zuidelijke gevel herinneren hier nog aan. In de topgevel van de zuidelijke gevel is een vierruits venster.
In de westelijke gevel bevindt zich naast een opgeklampte deur een vernieuwd negenruits licht, alsmede twee zesruits ijzeren stalvensters.
De achter het huis aan de zuidelijke zijde van het perceel gelegen schuur met gepotdekselde wanden heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en wordt gedekt door een zadeldak, belegd met muldenpannen.
Waardering.
De voormalige dienstwoning met schuur is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling van de landbouw in Nederland, in het bijzonder de grootschalige ontginning van woeste gronden in de 20ste eeuw en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de dienstwoning. Architectuurhistorisch is het pand van belang vanwege de aan de landschappelijke omgeving aangepaste sobere ornamentiek. Het heeft ensemblewaarden als onderdeel van het te beschermen grootschalige landgoed 'De Utrecht'. Het is belangrijk vanwege de gaafheid van het exterieur.

SERVANT'S DWELLING with small BARN, built around 1920, is located as the second in a row of four dwellings on the southeastern corner of the T-junction De Vier Winden - Lage Mierdseweg. The building stands at right angles to the unpaved De Vier Winden. Behind the house a small barn has been built in line with the axis of the house.
Description.
The single-storey house has a rectangular plan and is covered by a curved gabled roof with curved tiles. Against the eastern roof slope stands a low roof dormer, on the ridge is a brick chimney.
The facades are constructed in brick and have a cemented plinth.
In the northern facade are two composite wooden windows with ten-pane fanlight and two four-pane lower lights, fitted with panel shutters with diabolo decoration. The roof storey is lit by a double-opening four-pane window. The eastern facade has a three-part composite wooden cross window with small glazing bars (six-pane fanlights, four-pane lower lights). To the left of this, probably around 1950, a double-opening six-pane window was inserted in the eastern facade. The southern part of the house was used as a stable. An eight-pane iron stable window in the eastern facade, and a clamped door in the southern facade still recall this. In the gable of the southern facade is a four-pane window.
In the western facade, next to a clamped door, is a renewed nine-pane light, as well as two six-pane iron stable windows.
The barn located behind the house on the southern side of the plot has potted brick walls, a rectangular plan and is covered by a gabled roof, laid with curved tiles.
