Omschrijving
KOETSIERSWONING uit ca. 1907 met Hollands Classicistische elementen gebouwd door J.W. Hanrath. Eénlaags vrijstaand pand op een rechthoekige (nagenoeg vierkante) plattegrond onder een steil schilddak waarvan de nok haaks op de straat staat. Aan de achterkant is een éénlaagse uitbouw onder plat dak zichtbaar.
Het pand is uitgevoerd in baksteen, het dak is gedekt met leien, voorzien van een gootlijst.
In de gevel aan de straatkant bevindt zich een groot samengesteld raam met kleine roedenverdeling, ernaast een klein vierkant raam. De deur is in de zijgevel geplaatst, verder in deze gevel kleine lichtopeningen. Recht boven de deur een dakkapel.
Waardering
De koetsierwoning is van algemeen belang. Het pand heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van een culturele en sociaal-economische ontwikkeling, met name de stichting van een buitenplaats voor de oprichter van de Philipsfabrieken binnen een nieuw opgezet villapark. COACHMAN'S DWELLING from c. 1907 with Dutch Classical elements built by J.W. Hanrath. Single-storey detached building on a rectangular (almost square) floor plan under a steep hipped roof of which the ridge stands perpendicular to the street. At the rear a single-storey extension under a flat roof is visible.
The building is executed in brick, the roof is covered with slate, provided with a drip moulding.
In the facade facing the street is a large composite window with fine glazing bars, beside it a small square window. The door is placed in the side facade, further in this facade small light openings. Directly above the door a roof dormer.
