Inleiding
De T-BOERDERIJ, bestaande uit het parallel aan de straat gelegen woonhuis en een aan de achterzijde haaks op het woonhuis gesitueerde bedrijfsaanbouw, is direct aan de straat gelegen.
Het gebouw dateert uit omstreeks 1875 en is gebouwd in ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl. In 1926 is de balklaag van het bedrijfsgedeelte vernieuwd. Omstreeks 1935 zijn onder architectuur van H.W. Valk ('s-Hertogenbosch) onder meer de twee dakkapellen toegevoegd, en is de centrale gang in het huis (van ca. 10 bij 2,5 meter) voorzien van een marmeren vloer.
Omschrijving
Het eenlaags gebouw heeft een T-vormige plattegrond en is afgedekt met zadeldaken, belegd met oud Hollandse pannen. Het zadeldak van het bedrijfsgedeelte is afgewolfd en gedekt met muldenpannen. Het muurwerk is opgetrokken in handvorm baksteen en aan de zijde van het woonhuis voorzien een hoge gecementeerde plint. De voorgevel van het woonhuis heeft vijf vensterassen en wordt afgesloten door een gemetseld fries met een geprofileerde houten bakgoot. Centraal in de gevel is een omlijste voordeur met bovenlicht en smeedijzeren rooster aangebracht. Deze wordt geflankeerd door twee maal twee zesruits schuifvensters, voorzien van luiken met smeedijzeren beslag. Zowel de oostelijke als de westelijke zijgevel hebben twee vensterassen. Op de begane grond zijn zesruits schuifvensters, op de etage vierruits schuifvensters aangebracht. Tussen deze laatste is aan de westelijke zijde een opgeklampte laaddeur aangebracht, waarboven een hijsbalk. In de top van beide zijgevels is een segmentbooglicht met ijzeren vorktracering. De achterbouw is aan de oostelijke zijde voorzien van een kelder met opkamer. In het aan het woonhuis grenzende deel zijn T-vensters, zesruits schuifvensters en een tweeta opgeklampte deuren aangebracht. In de zijgevels bevinden zich negenruits ijzeren stalvensters. Het bedrijfsgedeelte heeft in de eindgevel een getoogde opgeklampte inrijpoort. Erboven geeft een opgeklampt luik toegang tot de taszolder. In 1926 is de balklaag van de zolder vernieuwd. Men heeft toen een vloer van zware normaalprofielbalken gelegd. Het pand heeft een met beukehaag omhaagde tuin. Het westelijk van het woonhuis gelegen erf is aan de zuidelijke en noordelijke zijde van respectievelijk de straat en de landerijen afgesloten door een handvorm bakstenen muur onder ezelsrug, voorzien van een opgeklampte poort met bakstenen pijlers. Op de stoep van het woonhuis staat een zestal hardstenen stoeppalen, verbonden door smeedijzeren stangen. Aan de oostelijke zijde wordt de stoep van de tuin gescheiden door een een neogotisch gedetailleerd smeedijzeren poortje.
Waardering
De boerderij is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling van de landbouw in oostelijk Brabant en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de boerderij in het stroomgebied van de Maas. Architectuurhistorisch is het van belang vanwege de sobere traditionele ornamentiek en de afgewogen verhoudingen. The T-FARMHOUSE, consisting of the dwelling house situated parallel to the street and a business extension situated at the rear at right angles to the dwelling house, is directly situated on the street.
The building dates from circa 1875 and is built in artisanal-traditional style. In 1926 the beam layer of the business section was renewed. Around 1935 under the architecture of H.W. Valk ('s-Hertogenbosch) among other things the two roof dormers were added, and the central passage in the house (of approx. 10 by 2.5 metres) was provided with a marble floor.
Description
The single-storey building has a T-shaped plan and is covered with gabled roofs, laid with old Dutch tiles. The gabled roof of the business section is barrel-vaulted and covered with curved tiles. The masonry is built in handmoulded brick and on the side of the dwelling house provided with a high cemented plinth. The front facade of the dwelling house has five window bays and is finished by a brick frieze with a moulded wooden gutter. Centrally in the facade a framed front door with fanlight and wrought iron grille has been installed. This is flanked by twice two six-paned sash windows, provided with shutters with wrought iron fittings. Both the eastern and western side facade have two window bays. On the ground floor six-paned sash windows are installed, on the upper storey four-paned sash windows are installed. Between the latter on the western side a clamped loading door has been installed, above which a hoist beam. In the apex of both side facades a segmental arch light with iron tracery.
The rear building is provided on the eastern side with a cellar with upper room. In the part adjoining the dwelling house T-windows, six-paned sash windows and two clamped doors have been installed. In the side facades nine-paned iron stable windows are located. The business section has in the end facade a arched clamped loading gate. Above it a clamped shutter provides access to the loft. In 1926 the beam layer of the loft was renewed. At that time a floor of heavy standard-section beams was laid. The building has a beech hedge-enclosed garden. The plot lying west of the dwelling house is closed on the southern and northern sides respectively by the street and the fields by a handmoulded brick wall with saddle roof, provided with a clamped gate with brick pillars. On the pavement of the dwelling house stand six hardstone bollards, connected by wrought iron rods. On the eastern side the pavement of the garden is separated by a neo-gothic detailed wrought iron gate.
Valuation
The farmhouse is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical importance as an example of the socio-economic development of agriculture in eastern Brabant and as an example of the typological development of the farmhouse in the Maas river basin. Architecturally it is of importance because of the sober traditional ornamentation and the balanced proportions. It has ensemble values as part of a complex that is of importance because of the integrity of the whole consisting of different components. It is of importance in relation to the visual integrity of the village and landscape surroundings.
