Inleiding
Tegen de noordelijke muur van het koor van de R.K. H.Willibrorduskerk te Demen staat op de privé-begraafplaats van de familie Van den Bergh het neogotische GRAFKRUIS van J.B. van den Bergh, daterend uit 1855.
Omschrijving
Het zandstenen kruis heeft op de kruising van de kruisarmen een vierpasnis met daarin een rood/zwart geschilderde inscriptie met Christusmonogram. Daaronder op de staande kruisarm in gotisch schrift de rood-zwart geschilderde inscriptie: "Bid voor de ziel / van zaliger / Jo-es Bapta / van den Bergh / Burgemeester van / Demen Dieden en / Nederlangel Echtge. / van Wilhelmina van / Dijk geb. te Demen de I nov. MCIV / ovld. d. VII jan. MCLV".

Against the northern wall of the choir of the R.C. H. Willibrorduskerk at Demen stands on the private burial ground of the Van den Bergh family the neo-gothic GRAVE CROSS of J.B. van den Bergh, dating from 1855.
Description
The sandstone cross has at the intersection of the cross arms a quatrefoil with therein a red/black painted inscription with Christogram. Below this on the upright cross arm in Gothic script the red-black painted inscription: "Pray for the soul / of the deceased / Jo-es Bapta / van den Bergh / Mayor of / Demen Dieden and / Nederlangel Spouse / of Wilhelmina van / Dijk born at Demen on I Nov. MCIV / died on VII Jan. MCLV".
