DUBBEL WOONHUIS, gebouwd als twee opzichterswoningen in 1912-1913 en deel uitmakend van de ontginningen van de gebroeders Roelvink.
Het pand bevindt zich in het buitengebied van Rips.
omschrijving
Het langwerpige eenlaagse pand is opgetrokken uit machinale baksteen met een gepleisterd en wit geschilderd bovendeel. De dorpels en de strekken zijn uitgevoerd in baksteen. Het zadeldak met wolfeinden steekt aan de zijden ver over en rust op schoren.
Het dak is belegd met rode kruispannen, op de nok rechts is er nog een terracotta bolpiron. Het pand is spiegelsymmetrisch van opzet. Rechts en links is er een terugspringend gedeelte, waarin een smal hoog raam met vierruits bovenlicht en half luik, daarnaast de voordeur. De paneeldeuren zijn voorzien van een getoogd zesruits licht en een zesruits bovenlicht. Het middengedeelte bestaat uit vier kruiskozijnen met halve luiken en kleine roeden in de bovenlichten. Beide woningen beschikken over een dakkapel met opendraaiende raampjes onder een langgerekt lessenaardak. De zijgevels zijn voorzien van een kruiskozijn met halve luiken en op de zolderverdieping elk twee smalle hoge ramen met vierruits bovenlicht. Beide huizen hebben aan de achterzijde een uitbouw van hout en baksteen, waarin zich de keuken bevindt. Het lessenaardak hiervan is een voortzetting van het hoofddak. Een rechthoekige gemetselde bak naast de keuken diende als gekoelde bewaarplaats. Betonnen waterputten zorgden voor water.
Voor het huis en langs de weg staat een rij monumentale beuken.

Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling, in het bijzonder de ontginning van de woeste gronden in de Peel, het is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van de landarbeiderswoning. Description
The elongated single-storey building is constructed of machine-made brick with a rendered and white-painted upper part. The thresholds and mullions are executed in brick. The gabled roof with half-hipped ends projects far at the sides and rests on struts.
The roof is covered with red interlocking tiles, on the ridge at the right there is still a terracotta ridge roof tile. The building is mirror-symmetrical in plan. Right and left is a recessed section, in which a narrow tall window with four-pane fanlight and half shutter, next to it the front door. The panel doors are provided with an arched six-pane light and a six-pane fanlight. The central section consists of four cross windows with half shutters and small glazing bars in the fanlights. Both dwellings have a roof dormer with opening casements under an elongated lean-to roof. The side facades are provided with a cross window with half shutters and on the attic storey each two narrow tall windows with four-pane fanlight. Both houses have on the rear side an extension of wood and brick, in which the kitchen is situated. The lean-to roof of this is a continuation of the main roof. A rectangular brick-built tank next to the kitchen served as a cooled storage place. Concrete cisterns provided water.
In front of the house and along the road stands a row of monumental beech trees.

The double dwelling house is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a distinctive expression of socio-economic development, in particular the reclamation of waste lands in the Peel, it is also of importance for the typological development of the agricultural labourer's cottage. It has architectural-historical importance because of its style and form. It has ensemble values as part of a larger whole, the reclamations of the Groote Slink, which is of cultural-historical, architectural-historical and urban planning importance. It has been well preserved and is typologically rare.
