Iinleiding
Aan de noordelijke zijde van de Wolverstraat staat de voormalige LANGGEVELBOERDERIJ, bestaande uit een hoofdgebouw parallel aan de weg, en een haakse achteraanbouw aan de westelijke zijde. Het hoofdgebouw dateert uit omstreeks 1895. Enkele jaren later is het in westelijke richting verlengd. Omstreeks 1910 is de achteraanbouw gereed gekomen. Het gebouw staat tussen de oude akkerbodems (noordelijke zijde) en de voormalige heidevelden (zuidwestelijke zijde).
Omschrijving
Het object heeft een L-vormige plattegrond, telt één bouwlaag en wordt gedekt door een wolfdak met oud-Hollandse pannen. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in baksteen. Door de gewitte band boven de dorpel, alsmede de gewitte strekken boven vensters en deuren, wordt de straatgevel geleed. Tussen het woonhuis en de links aangebouwde stalling is een duidelijke bouwnaad zichtbaar. De lange straatgevel heeft een ongebruikelijke indeling met van links naar rechts een opgeklampte inrijpoort onder korfboog, een paneelvoordeur met gedeeld bovenlicht geflankeerd door tweemaal twee zesruits schuifvensters, een getoogde opgeklampte staldeur geflankeerd door vierruits stalvensters, een zesruits schuifvenster, en geheel ter rechterzijde, de opgeklampte inrijpoort van de voormalige deel. In de linkerzijgevel twee stalvensters van later datum, en een hooiluik naar de taszolder. Waarschijnlijk heeft zich in het voormalige bedrijfsdeel een illegale stookerij bevonden. De indeling is thans, mede als gevolg van een ontploffing, nogal gewijzigd. Op het dak staan twee gemetselde schoorstenen. De linker duidt op de plaats van de schouw in het woonhuis; de rechter staat op het bedrijfsdeel en verwijst mogenlijk, mede gezien het zesruits venster in de straatgevel, naar een voormalige dienstwoning aldaar.
Waardering
De boerderij is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling van de landbouw in het zandgebied en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de langgevelboerderij in de negentiende eeuw. Architectuurhistorisch is het pand van belang vanwege de bouwgeschiedenis en de sobere maar verzorgde ornamentiek. De boerderij is belangrijk vanwege de gaafheid van het in- en exterieur en is een zeldzaam voorbeeld van een type waarbij het woonhuis aan beide zijden wordt ingesloten door het bedrijfsgedeelte.

Introduction
On the northern side of the Wolverstraat stands the former LONG-GABLED FARMHOUSE, consisting of a main building parallel to the road, and a right-angled rear extension on the western side. The main building dates from around 1895. A few years later it was extended in a westerly direction. Around 1910 the rear extension was completed. The building stands between the old arable soils (northern side) and the former heathland (southwestern side).
Description
The object has an L-shaped ground plan, has one storey and is covered by a half-hipped roof with old-Dutch tiles. The gables are built up in brick. Through the whitewashed band above the threshold, as well as the whitewashed stretches above windows and doors, the street facade is articulated. Between the dwelling house and the adjoining stable on the left a clear building seam is visible. The long street facade has an unusual layout with from left to right a clamped carriage entrance under a basket arch, a panel front door with divided fanlight flanked by twice two six-pane sash windows, a vaulted clamped stable door flanked by four-pane stable windows, a six-pane sash window, and at the far right, the clamped carriage entrance of the former threshing floor. In the left side facade two stable windows of later date, and a hay opening to the hay loft. A illegal distillery probably occupied the former business section. The layout has now been considerably altered, also as a result of an explosion. On the roof stand two brick chimneys. The left one indicates the location of the chimney in the dwelling house; the right one stands on the business section and possibly alludes, also in view of the six-pane window in the street facade, to a former service dwelling there.
Valuation
The farmhouse is of general interest. The building has cultural-historical significance as an example of the socio-economic development of agriculture in the sand region and as an example of the typological development of the long-gabled farmhouse in the nineteenth century. From an architectural-historical perspective, the property is of importance because of its building history and its sober yet careful ornamentation. The farmhouse is important because of the completeness of its interior and exterior and is a rare example of a type in which the dwelling house is enclosed on both sides by the business section.
