Verbonden met de villa door een bakstenen pergola staat op enige afstand ten westen van het hoofdgebouw een TENNISHUISJE aan een tennisbaan. Dit complex werd in 1929 door H.Th. Wijdeveld ontworpen. Het materiaalgebruik - baksteen in Noors en blokvormig verband - en de toepassing van rechthoekige vormen, afgewisseld door ronde hoekoplossingen zijn nadrukkelijk afgeleid van de vormen van de villa uit 1927.
Het gebouw bestaat uit een rechthoekig, overdekt en afgesloten tenniszitje, met een erboven gelegen terras, dat middels een trap kan worden bereikt. Aan de andere zijde bevindt, op een verhoging van drie treden, een open, overdekt zitje met daarachter een schuur.
De voorgevel (westzijde) bestaat uit twee delen. Het open en overdekte tenniszitje wordt omsloten door twee bakstenen wanden, waarbij het platte dak op een bakstenen kolom rust. Rechts bevindt zich de naar de tennisbaan gerichte, deels afgeronde gevel van het geheel omsloten tenniszitje. Dit volume bezit een groot rechthoekig venster, dat de ronding van de gevel volgt. Hiernaast bevindt zich een openslaande deur als toegang tot het zitje. De indeling van het venster is veranderd. Boven het volume bevindt zich een terras omgeven door een bakstenen borstwering met balustrade en vlaggenmast.
De achtergevel is eveneens in tweeën gedeeld. Links is een rechthoekig venster in het gevelvlak opgenomen. Vanuit het midden leidt een bakstenen trap naar het hierboven gelegen terras.
Het rechter gedeelte van de gevel, waarachter de schuur is gesitueerd, is geheel blind.
Een dubbele deur in de rechthoekige linker zijgevel geeft toegang tot de schuur. Het metselwerk vertoont een patroon van vakken, die afwisselend uit twee horizontale en twee vertikale stenen bestaan.
Een groter rechthoekig venster in de rechter zijgevel biedt uitzicht op de tennisbaan.
Waardering
Het tennisgebouwtje annex schuur met pergola is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als een zeldzaam voorbeeld van een tennishuisje, uitgevoerd in de stijl van de Amsterdamse School en met invloeden van het Zakelijk Expresionisme. Connected to the villa by a brick pergola stands at some distance to the west of the main building a TENNIS HOUSE by a tennis court. This complex was designed in 1929 by H.Th. Wijdeveld. The use of materials - brick in Norwegian and block-shaped bond - and the application of rectangular forms, alternated by round corner solutions are explicitly derived from the forms of the villa from 1927.
The building consists of a rectangular, covered and enclosed tennis room, with a terrace above it, which can be reached by means of a staircase. On the other side, on a raised platform of three steps, is an open, covered room with a barn behind it.
The front facade (west side) consists of two parts. The open and covered tennis room is enclosed by two brick walls, with the flat roof resting on a brick column. To the right is the partially rounded facade of the fully enclosed tennis room, facing the tennis court. This volume has a large rectangular window, which follows the curve of the facade. Next to it is an open door as access to the room. The arrangement of the window has been changed. Above the volume is a terrace surrounded by a brick parapet with balustrade and flagpole.
The back facade is also divided into two parts. On the left is a rectangular window incorporated in the facade plane. From the centre, a brick staircase leads to the terrace above.
The right part of the facade, behind which the barn is situated, is entirely blank.
A double door in the rectangular left side facade provides access to the barn. The brickwork shows a pattern of panels, which alternately consist of two horizontal and two vertical stones.
