Inleiding
Aan de Karnemelkslootzijde wordt het park begrensd door een HEK. In de linker hekpaal nog restanten van een trekbel.
Omschrijving
IJzeren traliehek met een ingang bestaande uit twee hekdeuren, die aan de onderzijde dicht zijn en aan bovenzijde voorzien van voluutvormige krullen. De deuren zijn geplaatst tussen gemetselde postamenten onder hardstenen dekplaten. Het gehele hek staat op een gemetselde plint waarin een aantal pijlers op hardstenen blokken rusten.
Waardering
Het hek is van algemeen belang als onderdeel van een redelijk gaaf bewaard gebleven en inmiddels zeldzaam geworden type ziekenhuis, een militair ziekenhuis.
Het hek is van belang als karakteristieke en functionele afsluiting van het terrein.

Iron lattice gate with an entrance consisting of two gate doors, which are solid at the bottom and furnished at the top with volute-shaped curls. The doors are placed between masonry pedestals under hardstone cap plates. The entire gate stands on a masonry base plinth in which a number of piers rest on hardstone blocks.
Valuation
The gate is of general importance as part of a reasonably well preserved and nowadays rare type of hospital, a military hospital.
The gate is of importance as a characteristic and functional enclosure of the site.
