Inleiding
Aan de voorzijde van het Militaire Ziekenhuis en aan de westzijde van het park ligt een DIENSTGEBOUWTJE in Neo-renaissancestijl uit 1876.
Beschrijving
Eenlaags gebouwtje op rechthoekige plattegrond onder met gesmoorde, verbeterde Hollandse pannen gedekt schilddak; op de nok een loden piron. De gevel wordt afgesloten door een uitgemetselde tandlijst waarboven houten goten met klossen. De voorgevel wordt geleed door een houten paneeldeur met tweeruits bovenlicht met rechts ervan een houten kruiskozijn met meerruits openslaande delen en tweeruits bovenlichten. Ook in beide zijgevels houten kruiskozijnen met meerruits openslaande delen en tweeruits bovenlichten. Bogen boven muuropeningen; hardstenen dorpels en neuten.

Dienstgebouw is van nationaal belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een dienstgebouw horend bij een negentiende-eeuws ziekenhuis en vanwege de bouwstijl.

On the front side of the Military Hospital and on the west side of the park lies a SERVICE BUILDING in Neo-Renaissance style from 1876.
Description
One-storey building on rectangular plan covered with a hipped roof of smothered, improved Dutch tiles; on the ridge a lead finial. The facade is finished with a toothed band laid in brick above which wooden gutters with brackets. The front facade is articulated by a wooden panelled door with two-pane fanlight with to its right a wooden cross window with multi-pane opening parts and two-pane fanlights. Also in both side facades wooden cross windows with multi-pane opening parts and two-pane fanlights. Arches above wall openings; hardstone sills and reveal ends.

Service building is of national importance because of its architectural-historical value as an example of a service building belonging to a nineteenth-century hospital and because of its building style.
