Inleiding
ZIEKENHUIS in neorenaissancestijl uit 1876 centraal in het park gesitueerd in de as van de oprijlaan.
Omschrijving
Symmetrisch pand opgetrokken vanuit een U-vormige plattegrond in donkerrode baksteen en bestaande uit twee bouwlagen onder een met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen gedekt, samengesteld schilddak; pironnen op de hoeken.
Voorgevel in traditionele symmetrische opzet; middenrisaliet en zijrisalieten bekroond met trapgevels met hardstenen voluten en een halfrond fronton. In middenrisaliet, in een vooruitstekend geveldeel de hoofdingang met dubbele houten paneeldeuren aan een hardstenen strap en onder een uitspringende houten luifel; boven de luifel bevindt zich een halfrond bovenlicht. Aan weerszijden van het bordes meerruits ramen als scheidingswand. Bovenin het middenrisaliet een hardstenenplaat met opschrift `Rijks-administratie'. Op begane grond en op verdieping hoge meerruits schuifvensters met meerruitsbovenlichten. Alle muuropeningen hebben houten kozijnen, hardstenen dorpels en getoogde strekken in gele en rode baksteen. Ter hoogte van de dorpel en de kruisbalk spekbanden in gele en zwart-geglazuurde baksteen. Onder de houten daklijsten die met houten klossen worden ondersteund, een siermetselrand van geel baksteen.
Achtergevel met risalerend middendeel waarin kleine vierruitsvensters. Aan weerszijden van het middenrisaliet een achteringang met rondboog bovenlicht. Hardstenen trappen en bordes. Stalen nood-wenteltrappen.

Symmetrical building constructed from a U-shaped ground plan in dark red brick and consisting of two storeys under a mansard roof covered with dampened Dutch tiles; roof ridges on the corners.
Front facade in traditional symmetrical layout; central risalite and side risalites crowned with stepped gables with hard stone volutes and a semicircular pediment. In central risalite, in a projecting facade section the main entrance with double wooden panel doors on a hard stone stoop and under a projecting wooden canopy; above the canopy there is a semicircular fanlight. On either side of the landing multi-pane windows as a partition. At the top of the central risalite a hardstone panel with the inscription 'Rijks-administratie'. On ground floor and upper storey tall multi-pane sash windows with multi-pane fanlights. All wall openings have wooden frames, hard stone sills and arched openings in yellow and red brick. At the height of the sill and the crossbar, decorative bands in yellow and black-glazed brick. Under the wooden cornices which are supported with wooden blocks, a decorative brick course of yellow brick.
