Omschrijving
TUINMANSWONING, gelegen aan de zuidwestzijde op de buitenplaats Persijn, opgetrokken op een T-vormige plattegrond en telt één bouwlaag onder een haaks op elkaar gesteld rietgedekte zadeldaken met rode en gesmoorde nokvorsten. Het decoratief gezaagde patroon aan de windveren zet zich in de dakrand over alle zijden voort. De gevels zijn door bepleisterde spaarvelden ingedeeld en hebben een ruitvormig patroon. De omlijstingen waarin de velden zijn gevat zijn grijsgeschilderd. Per gevelvlakis dikwijls één venster of één deur geplaatst. De vensterindelingen zijn gewijzigd en zijn van ondergeschikt belang. De drie eindgevels met topgevel bevatten bovenin een rond venster. De achtergevel is witbepleisterd en voorzien van een niet oorspronkelijke vensterindeling. Tegen de rechterzijgevel staat een houten aanbouw die van ondergeschikt belang wordt geacht.

Description
GARDENER'S COTTAGE, located on the south-west side of the country estate Persijn, built on a T-shaped ground plan and comprises one storey under mutually perpendicular reed-thatched gabled roofs with red and raked ridge crests. The decoratively sawn pattern on the wind braces continues in the roof edge over all sides. The facades are articulated by rendered spandrels and have a diamond pattern. The frames in which the spandrels are set are painted grey. Per facade panel a window or door is often placed. The window divisions have been altered and are of secondary importance. The three gable-end facades with spout gable each contain a round window at the top. The rear facade is white-rendered and provided with a non-original window division. Against the right side facade stands a wooden extension which is considered of secondary importance.
Valuation
The object is of general importance due to its architectural historical and cultural historical value as an example of a gardener's cottage as well as of situational value due to its location on the drive of the country estate.
