De HISTORISCHE PARKAANLEG van de buitenplaats Persijn is omstreeks 1880 door Hendrik Copijn ontworpen in landschappelijke stijl. De aanleg strekt zich uit rond het huis en wordt begrensd door de Achterweteringseweg in het zuiden en de Kon. Wilhelminaweg in het oosten. Het hoofdontwerp gaat uit van een tweetal zichtassen vanuit het huis: één in zuidelijke richting (naar Utrecht) en één in oostelijke richting (naar De Bilt). Voorts zijn er een aantal belangrijke elementen waaruit de aanleg bestaat: 1. een waterpartij in de vorm van een slingervijver, gelegen aan de oostzijde voor het huis en zich uitstrekkend naar het noorden. 2. Een zuid-noord lopende laan aan de west(achter)zijde van het huis, de entree vormend van de buitenplaats en beplant met beuken.
3. Boomgroepen, bestaande uit rode en groene beuken, onder geflankeerd door heesters als rhododendrons, werkend als coulisse aan de zuidoost, zuidwest, en noordzijde van het huis.
4. Een rechte as, noordoostelijk van het huis gelegen, en van zuid naar noord lopend aan de westzijde van de slingervijver. De laan is beplant met eiken.
De aanlegstructuur bestaat uit de samenhang van de verschillende onderdelen, die vanuit het ontwerp met elkaar versmolten zijn. De slingervijver wordt geflankeerd door de boomgroepen, die in het noorden de vijver geheel omgeven, in de as van het huis ontbreken en door een aanleg met gras uitzicht bieden vanuit en op het huis, en een aanleg met boomgroepen rond de kom van de vijver aan de zuidzijde. De openheid aan de zuidzijde van het huis wordt versterkt door een coulissenaanleg van verschillende soorten bomen aan de zuidwestzijde. Hiertussendoor ligt nog een kleine slingervijver. Erachter bevindt zich, aan de Achterweteringseweg de toegangslaan met aan de zuidwestzijde de tuinmanswoning in een kleine boomgaard. De toegangslaan leidt langs het hoofdgebouw naar het koetshuis, van het huis gescheiden door een taxushaag, en komt uit op de voormalige moestuin. Deze heeft een vlak karakter en biedt uitzicht op de weilanden rond de buitenplaats.

The HISTORICAL PARK LAYOUT of the country estate Persijn was designed around 1880 by Hendrik Copijn in the picturesque style.
