Inleiding
Aan de zuidzijde van de R.K. H.Lambertuskerk te Beers staat op het kerkhof het GRAFKRUIS van M. Barten, daterend uit omstreeks 1909.
Beschrijving Het hardstenen kruis staat op een dito sokkel. Op de kruising van de dubbel gelobde kruisarmen een marmeren medaillon met de inscriptie: "Bid zoor de ziel / van zaliger Mechelina / Barten dochter v.d. echtelieden / Jean Barten en Johanna van de / Voordt geb. te Cuyk 18 october 1831 / en overl. te Beers / 29 jan. 1909". Juist boven de sokkel staat op de kruisarm de inscriptie: "R.I.P.".

Het grafkruis is van algemeen belang. Het geheel heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van het katholicisme en de daarmee samenhangende devoties in het zuiden en is tevens van belang als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van het grafmonument. In leven echtgenoote van Jan van / de Voordt geb. te St. Agatha / en overl. te / Sambeek / den 5 nov. / 1861 in den / ouderdom / van bijna 68 / jaren / R.I.P.".

On the south side of the R.K. H. Lambertuskerk at Beers stands on the churchyard the GRAVE CROSS of M. Barten, dating from circa 1909.
Description The sandstone cross stands on a matching plinth. At the crossing of the double lobed cross arms a marble medallion with the inscription: "Pray for the soul / of the late Mechelina / Barten daughter of the spouses / Jean Barten and Johanna van de / Voordt born at Cuyk 18 october 1831 / and died at Beers / 29 jan. 1909".
