Inleiding
Rijk gedecoreerd BEGRAAFPLAATSHEK, behorende bij de algemene begraafplaats aangelegd rond 1900. Het hek stond eerst aan de Kruisweg, maar toen de Hofstraat werd aangelegd is het hek verplaatst.
Omschrijving
Smeed- en gietijzeren BEGRAAFPLAATSHEK, bestaande uit twee kleine en twee grote platte opengewerkte pijlers, waarin symbolische afbeeldingen, waartussen vier beweegbare delen. In de grote pijlers twee kruisende sikkels, een staartbijtende slang, een gevleugelde zandloper en op de top een vlinder en twee takken. In de kleine pijlers twee omgekeerde kruisende brandende toortsen en op de top een lelie. De vier beweegbare delen zijn opgebouwd uit stijl- en regelwerk; pieken. Het hek wordt aan de achterzijde gesteund door ijzeren stangen.

Wraught- and cast-iron CEMETERY GATE, consisting of two small and two large flat open-work piers, in which symbolic images, between which four movable sections. In the large piers two crossed sickles, a tail-biting serpent, a winged hourglass and at the top a butterfly and two branches. In the small piers two reversed crossed burning torches and at the top a lily. The four movable sections are constructed from stile and rail work; peaks. The gate is supported at the rear by iron rods.
