Inleiding
Voormalige WINKELWONING met aangebouwde SCHUUR, gebouwd in 1883 in een Ambachtelijk-traditionele trant. De schuur is waarschijnlijk ouder. In het pand was een winkel met bakkerij ondergebracht. In 1965 is de bakkerij eruit gehaald en verbouwd tot slaapkamer met berging. De winkel bleef tot voor kort in gebruik als bakkerswinkel. Ondanks het feit dat het pand nu geheel als woning wordt gebruikt, is het winkelgedeelte nog intact.
Het pand, dat is vastgebouwd aan het monumentale pand Hoofdstraat 45, is bijzonder beeldbepalend gelegen, midden in het dorp. Het vormt tezamen met de middeleeuwse kerktoren en het pand Hoofdstraat 45 een opvallende straatwand.
Omschrijving
Voormalige WINKELWONING uit 1883 met aangebouwde SCHUUR van ouder datum. De winkelwoning is opgetrokken in een roodbruine baksteen onder een wolfdak, aan de voorzijde gedekt met een zwart geglazuurde Friese golfpan en aan de achterzijde met een sneldekpan (niet origineel); op de nok twee gemetselde schoorstenen. In het midden van de voorgevel (oost) bevinden zich een paneeldeur (niet origineel) met getoogd bovenlicht met glas-in-lood en een getoogd winkelvenster; aan weerszijden ervan bevinden zich twee getoogde zesruits vensters; vensters en deur hebben een getoogde strek. Een kroonlijst sluit de voorgevel en de beide zijgevels af. De zuidgevel, die is vastgebouwd aan het pand Hoofdstraat 45, heeft een zesruits venster met getoogde strek en een tweeruits zaadvenster met rollaag. In de noordgevel bevinden zich een zesruits venster onder een getoogde strek, een klein venster onder een rollaag, twee tweeruits zaadvensters met rollaag en een houten luik. De achtergevel heeft een bakgoot en twee keldervensters onder een rollaag. De aangebouwde SCHUUR is opgetrokken in roodbruine baksteen onder een aan de voorzijde afgewolfd schilddak, gedekt met een rode Hollandse pan. In de nokeinden bevinden zich houten uileborden. De voorgevel, met beschotte topgevel, heeft dubbele houten schuurdeuren waarin een kleine deur is uitgespaard. De noordgevel is blind en de zuidgevel met mastgoot, heeft een houten deur, een w.c. venster, een vergroot keukenvenster en een dubbel vierruits venster. De achtergevel met deur en drie kleine vensters is vernieuwd.
In het INTERIEUR zijn ondermeer van belang de winkelruimte met rode stenen vloer, het houten balkenplafond, de houten toonbank, de getoogde kastenwand en de door hout afgeschotte etalage; in de kamer het houten balkenplafond en de bedsteden-kastenwand.

Former SHOP DWELLING with adjoining BARN, built in 1883 in a Craftsman-traditional style. The barn is probably older. The property housed a shop with bakery. In 1965 the bakery was removed and converted into a bedroom with storage. The shop remained in use as a bakery shop until recently. The shop dwelling is constructed in reddish-brown brick under a half-hipped roof, at the front covered with black glazed Frisian roof tiles and at the rear with a fast-laid tile (not original); on the ridge two brick chimneys. In the centre of the front facade (east) there is a panelled door (not original) with arched fanlight with leaded glass and an arched shop window; on either side of it there are two arched six-pane windows; windows and door have an arched reveal. A cornice closes off the front facade and both side gables. The south facade, which is built against the property at Hoofdstraat 45, has a six-pane window with arched reveal and a two-pane seed window with roller blind. In the north gable there are a six-pane window under an arched reveal, a small window under a roller blind, two two-pane seed windows with roller blind and a wooden shutter. The rear facade has a guttering and two basement windows under a roller blind. The adjoining BARN is constructed in reddish-brown brick under a hipped roof that is rounded at the front, covered with red Dutch roof tiles. In the ridge ends there are wooden owl boards. The front facade, with boarded top gable, has double wooden barn doors with a small door set into them. The north gable is blank and the south gable, with mast gutter, has a wooden door, a w.c. window, an enlarged kitchen window and a double four-pane window. The rear facade with door and three small windows has been renewed.
In the INTERIOR, the shop space with red stone floor, the wooden beam ceiling, the wooden counter, the arched cupboard wall and the display space partitioned off with wood are of particular importance; in the room the wooden beam ceiling and the bedstead-cupboard wall.
