Inleiding.
LANDARBEIDERSHUIS met bedrijfsruimte, gebouwd in het vierde kwart van de negentiende eeuw. Het pand ligt aan een onverharde en doodlopende zijweg van de Herelsestraat, in het buitengebied van de gemeente Wouw.
Omschrijving.
Eénlaags pand op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder zadeldak waarvan de nok parallel aan de (zij)straat loopt. Het dak is gedekt met kruispannen. In het woongedeelte links zijn een zesruits schuifraam met luiken en een deur met bovenlicht aangebracht. Deur en raam rusten op hardstenen onderdorpels en staan onder segmentbogen met een gepleisterd boogveld. Rechts van de deur een klein kelderlicht. Het rechter- en bedrijfsgedeelte heeft aan de voorzijde een hoge rechthoekige poort. De zijgevel van het bedrijfsdeel is voorzien van een klein opgemetseld topgeveltje. Op de begane grond een poort in het midden, ernaast een klein raam. In de top een klein halfrond raam met metalen kozijn. De linkerzijgevel heeft een halfvenster en een rechthoekig raam in de top.
De achtergevel heeft in het woongedeelte een zesruitsraam met luiken en een opgeklampte deur. Het bedrijfsgedeelte heeft een lage opgeklampte poort en enkele halfronde raampjes met metalen kozijnen. Achter het huis een ronde betonnen put.
Waardering
Het object is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als uitdrukking van culturele en sociaal-economische waarden. Het is een voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van een klein landarbeidershuis en is gaaf bewaard gebleven. Het is als zodanig zeldzaam geworden.

FARM WORKER'S HOUSE with commercial space, built in the fourth quarter of the nineteenth century. The building is located on an unmade and dead-end side road off the Herelsestraat, in the countryside of the municipality of Wouw.

Single-storey building on a rectangular plan under a gabled roof with the ridge running parallel to the (side) street. The roof is covered with clay interlocking tiles. In the residential section on the left a six-pane sash window with shutters and a door with fanlight have been installed. Door and window rest on stone lintels and stand under segmental arches with rendered arch fields. To the right of the door a small cellar light. The right-hand section and commercial area have a high rectangular door opening on the front elevation. The side gable of the commercial section is provided with a small brick stepped gable. On the ground floor a door in the middle, next to it a small window. In the apex a small semicircular window with metal frame. The left side gable has a half-window and a rectangular window in the apex.
The rear gable has a six-pane window with shutters and a bolted door in the residential section. The commercial section has a low bolted door and several semicircular small windows with metal frames. Behind the house a circular concrete well.
Valuation
The object is of general importance on account of its cultural-historical value as an expression of cultural and socio-economic values. It is an example of the typological development of a small farm worker's house and has been preserved intact. As such it has become rare.
