Inleiding.
WOONHUIS, halfvrijstaand aan de doorgaande weg in Heerle. Het huis is gebouwd omstreeks 1890 en heeft kenmerken van Eclecticisme.
Omschrijving.
Eénlaags bakstenen huis op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder zadeldak waarvan de nok evenwijdig aan de straat loopt. Het dak is gedekt met kruispannen. De voorgevel is symmetrisch opgezet en vijf traveeën breed, ze heeft gestucte decoraties en een plint.
In het midden bevindt zich een vernieuwde deur, aan weerszijden daarvan T-schuiframen. Ramen en deur zijn in classicistische omlijstingen gevat die bestaan uit Ionische pilasters en geprofileerde lateien. Onder de ramen natuurstenen dorpels op decoratieve consoles, deel uitmakend van een doorlopende cordonlijst. Onder de gootlijst een kroonlijst, onderverdeeld door consoles met in het midden steeds een cirkelvormig gepleisterd element met dekoratieve knoppen (een enkele console en enkele knoppen ontbreken). In de top van de rechterzijgevel is een rechthoekig raam aangebracht, links sluit de zijgevel aan bij lagere bebouwing van recente datum. Een uitspringend deel van de linkerzijgevel heeft een halfvenster. In de top, boven de aangrenzende bebouwing uitstekend twee ramen. De topgevels zijn afgewerkt met een gepleisterde band.
In de achtergevel bevindt zich een vernieuwd en vergroot raam. In het dakvlak is aan de achterkant een dakkapel aangebracht. In het muurwerk enkele lange steekankers.
Voor het huis ligt een smalle tuin, van de straat gescheiden door een smeedijzeren hek van smalle spijlen met pijlpunten tussen bredere gecanneleerde kolommen, bekroond door een granaatappel.
Waardering.
Het woonhuis met hek en tuin is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als uitdrukking van een culturele en sociaal-economische ontwikkeling. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens materiaalgebruik en ornamentiek en vertegenwoordigt de wijze waarop Eclectische stijlvormen geleidelijk aan vanuit de stad op het platteland doordringen.

Single-storey brick house on a rectangular plan under a gabled roof with the ridge parallel to the street. The roof is covered with crossed tiles. The front facade is symmetrically designed and five bays wide; it has stuccoed decorations and a plinth.
In the centre is a renewed door, on either side T-sash windows. Windows and door are set in classicistic frames consisting of Ionic pilasters and moulded lintels. Below the windows natural stone sills on decorative consoles, part of a continuous string course. Below the gutter line a cornice, subdivided by consoles with in the middle each a circular plastered element with decorative knobs (one console and some knobs are missing). In the peak of the right side facade is a rectangular window; on the left the side facade adjoins lower recent construction. A projecting part of the left side facade has a half window. At the peak, above the adjoining building protruding two windows. The top gables are finished with a plastered band.
In the rear facade is a renewed and enlarged window. In the roof plane a roof dormer has been added on the rear. In the masonry some long brick anchors.
In front of the house lies a narrow garden, separated from the street by a wrought-iron railing of narrow spikes with arrowheads between wider fluted columns, crowned by a pomegranate.
Valuation.
The residential house with railing and garden is of general importance because of its cultural-historical value as an expression of a cultural and socio-economic development. It has architectural-historical value because of material use and ornamentation and represents the manner in which Eclectic style forms gradually penetrate from the city into the countryside.
