Inleiding.
WOONHUIS met bedrijfsgedeelte, oorspronkelijk burgemeesterswoning van de burgemeester van het toen nog zelfstandige Heerle.
Het pand is omstreeks 1915 gebouwd en heeft late elementen van Chaletstijl. De woning ligt aan de doorgaande weg op opgehoogde grond. Het bedrijfsgebouw valt buiten de bescherming.
Omschrijving.
Tweelaags pand op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder zadeldak waarvan de nok evenwijdig aan de straat loopt. Het dak is gedekt met kruispannen en heeft geschulpte windveren. De overstekken van de zijgevels zijn iets ingekort bij onderhoud. Het geheel is uitgevoerd in baksteen op een iets uitstekende plint. De begane grond is gepleisterd. De voorgevel is vijf traveeën breed met een middenrisaliet bekroond door een topgevel met decoratieve geschulpte windveren. In de middenrisaliet bevinden zich deur en balkon met openslaande deuren en houten hek. Aan weerszijden van de risaliet zijn T-schuiframen aangebracht, op de verdieping in gestucte geprofileerde omlijstingen met kuif, op de begane grond met luiken. Tegen de linkerzijgevel is in de jaren rond 1970 een smalle aanbouw onder lessenaarsdak gezet. Daarboven is de gevel oorspronkelijk en bevat drie opgeschilderde imitatie-ramen voorzien van een gepleisterde omlijsting.
De achtergevel heeft drie zesruitsramen met luiken en een deur. Tegen het uiteinde (in het verlengde van de rechterzijgevel) een haakse uitbouw in vakwerk met gepleisterde topgevel. Het zadeldak heeft Hollandse pannen.
Tegen de rechterzijgevel is een kleine aanbouw geplaatst, daarboven in de gevel van de hoofdmassa zijn zesruitsramen aangebracht.
In het interieur is de oorspronkelijke staat in grote lijnen bewaard gebleven. Rechts van de gang een kamer-en-suite met stucplafonds, met onder andere vrouwekopjes en bloemornamenten. Er zijn marmeren schouwen. In de gang is het plafond beschilderd met behulp van sjablonen, de wanden zijn gemarmerd, de vloer is voorzien van marmeren tegels. In het midden van de gang een trap.
In de haakse aanbouw achter het pand is de keuken gevestigd met onder andere inbouwkasten uit de bouwtijd. Zowel aan de voor- als aan de achterzijde is een betegeld stoepje bewaard gebleven.
Waardering.
Het pand is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde. Het is een voorbeeld van een culturele ontwikkeling, namelijk de late toepassing van representatieve vormen aan een burgemeesterswoning op het platteland en van belang wegens bouwtype. Het is van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege materiaalgebruik en illustreert de late doordringing van stedelijke stijlvormen op het platteland. Het is in- en uitwendig gaaf bewaard gebleven en als zodanig zeldzaam.

Two-storey building on a rectangular plan under a gabled roof with the ridge parallel to the street. The roof is covered with crossed tiles and has decorative scalloped wind braces. The overhangs of the side facades have been slightly shortened during maintenance. The whole is executed in brick on a slightly projecting plinth. The ground floor is plastered. The front facade is five bays wide with a central projection crowned by a top gable with decoratively scalloped wind braces. In the central projection are a door and balcony with French windows and wooden railings. On either side of the projection are T-sash windows, on the upper storey in stuccoed moulded frames with a cornice, on the ground floor with shutters. Against the left side facade a narrow extension under a lean-to roof was added around 1970. Above this the facade is original and contains three painted imitation windows provided with a plastered frame.
The rear facade has three six-pane windows with shutters and a door. Against the end (in line with the right side facade) a right-angled extension in timber framing with plastered top gable. The gabled roof has Dutch tiles.
Against the right side facade a small extension has been placed; above this in the facade of the main mass are six-pane windows.
In the interior the original state has been largely preserved. To the right of the corridor a room-en-suite with stuccoed ceilings, featuring among other things female heads and floral ornaments. There are marble fireplaces. In the corridor the ceiling is painted using stencils, the walls are marbled, the floor is provided with marble tiles. In the middle of the corridor a staircase.
In the right-angled extension behind the building the kitchen is situated with, among other things, built-in cupboards from the time of construction. On both the front and back sides a tiled doorstep has been preserved.
Valuation.
The building is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value. It is an example of a cultural development, namely the late application of representative forms to a burgher's residence in the countryside and is important because of building type. It is of architectural-historical importance because of material use and illustrates the late penetration of urban style forms into the countryside. It has been well preserved both internally and externally and as such is rare.
