Inleiding.
FABRIEKSGEBOUW, samengesteld uit diverse bouwmassa's waarvan aan de straat drie bouwblokken te onderscheiden zijn. Het beschermde middendeel uit ca. 1935 is het meest karakteristiek en gebouwd in een Zakelijke stijl. Links en rechts daarvan liggen later aangebouwde delen die buiten de bescherming vallen.
Omschrijving.
De tweelaagse fabriek kent aan de straatkant (Spoorstraat) een bakstenen gevel als scherm voor een achterliggend betonskelet. De gevel is ter plekke van de plint en boven de ingang betegeld. De gevelwand heeft een borstwering met deklijst aan de voorzijde. Het middendeel met ingang, ongeveer in het midden van de voorgevel, ligt terug ten opzichte van de rooilijn. De aansluitende gevels hebben afgeronde hoeken naar het middendeel toe. De ingang bestaat uit twee metalen deuren in een metalen pui met laddervensters en aan weerszijden smalle lichten. Erboven is een betonnen luifel waarop letters zijn geplaatst. Onder tegen de luifel zijn twee lantaarns gehangen. Op de verdieping een groot vierkant raam dat boven de dakrand uitsteekt. De ramen in de links en rechts aansluitende gevels zijn voorzien van metalen kozijnen met roedenverdeling, zestienruits op de begane grond en twaalfruits op de verdieping, de ramen naast de ingangspartij volgen de afgeronde hoeken. In de rechterzijgevel zijn ramen als voor aangebracht. Aan de achterzijde grenst het gebouw aan de latere toevoeging.
Waardering.
Het middengedeelte van het fabrieksgebouw is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van een economische ontwikkeling en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van het meerlaags fabrieksgebouw. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de bijzondere en zakelijke stijl. Het is zeldzaam.

FACTORY BUILDING, composed of various building masses of which three building blocks can be distinguished on the street frontage. The protected middle section from ca. 1935 is most characteristic and built in a Business style. To the left and right of it are later annexed parts which fall outside the protection.

The two-storey factory has, on the street side (Spoorstraat), a brick facade as a screen for a concrete skeleton structure behind. The facade at the plinth and above the entrance is tiled. The facade wall has a parapet with capping moulding at the front. The middle section with entrance, approximately in the centre of the front facade, is set back from the building line. The adjoining facades have rounded corners towards the middle section. The entrance consists of two metal doors in a metal framework with ladder windows and narrow lights on either side. Above is a concrete canopy on which letters are placed. Underneath against the canopy two lanterns are hung. On the upper storey is a large square window that projects above the roof edge. The windows in the adjoining facades to left and right are fitted with metal frames with glazing bars, sixteen panes on the ground floor and twelve panes on the upper storey; the windows next to the entrance section follow the rounded corners. In the right side gable are windows as described above. At the rear the building borders on the later addition.
Appreciation.
The middle section of the factory building is of general importance. It has cultural-historical significance as an expression of economic development and as an example of the typological development of the multi-storey factory building. It has architectural-historical value on account of the distinctive and business style. It is rare.
