Inleiding.
De Nederlandse Hervormde PASTORIE is in 1876 gebouwd in eenvoudige Eclectische stijl nabij de uit de middeleeuwen daterende hervormde kerk.
Omschrijving.
Het tweelaags woonhuis is opgetrokken uit baksteen, gepleisterd en gewit en heeft een schilddak gedekt met kruispannen.
De voorgevel telt vijf traveeën en heeft hoekpilasters. Een cordonlijst en een geprofileerde kroonlijst geven een horizontaal accent aan de gevel. Gestucte lijsten verbinden de hardstenen vensterbanken. De T-ramen op de begane grond zijn rond 1990 in de oude vorm vernieuwd en hebben een eenvoudige geprofileerde omlijsting met oren, die terugkeert bij de ramen op de verdieping. De hoofdingang heeft een identieke omlijsting en bevat een paneeldeur met smeedijzeren sierrooster met rankmotieven. Gevelsteen rechts van de ingang met opschrift: 'De kerkeraad C. Punt C.J. Gevaart J.H. Platteel J. Knip 1876'. De rechter zijgevel is blind. In de linkergevel een ca. 1960 ingebroken raam. Tegen de achtergevel een rond 1930 aangebouwde veranda met plat dak. Naast het huis een eenlaags koetshuis met een flauw hellend zadeldak met breed overstek, gedekt met oud-Hollandse pannen.
Baksteenmetselwerk in staand verband en eenvoudige staafankers. Dubbele opgeklampte deur onder korfboog, geflankeerd door halfronde raampjes. Boven een sierlijst van overhoeks geplaatste bakstenen een rondbogig afgesloten laadluik. In de linker zijgevel een deur met tweedelig bovenlicht.
Waardering.
De pastorie is van algemeen belang. Zij heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van het protestantisme in het overwegend katholieke zuiden en is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van de dorpspastorie. Zij heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de stijl en de detaillering. Het gebouw heeft ensemblewaarden vanwege de situering naast de kerk, nauw verbonden met de ontwikkeling van de gemeente.

In the left gable a window cut in around 1960. Against the rear facade a veranda with flat roof built around 1930. Next to the house a single-storey coach house with a shallow-pitched gabled roof with broad overhang, covered with old-Dutch tiles.

It has cultural-historical importance as a particular expression of the development of Protestantism in the predominantly Catholic south and is also of importance for the typological development of the village parsonage.
