Inleiding.
De VILLA DE VLUCHTHEUVEL werd gebouwd rond 1930 in Expressionistische stijl. Het pand is gelegen in het noordelijk singelgebied.
Omschrijving.
De een- tot tweelaagse villa heeft een samengesteld rieten schilddak en gevels bestaande uit machinale baksteen, deels in relifpatroon, afgewisseld met grote gevelvlakken die met riet zijn bekleed. Daarnaast zijn delen van de gevel afgewerkt met houten planken in sierpatroon, waardoor een afwisselend en levendig gevelbeeld wordt verkregen. De voorgevel is opgebouwd uit twee delen. Links een iets vooruitspringend topgeveldeel met vierdelig gekoppeld raam met loodstrippen, zoals de overige vensters ook bezitten. Op de etage erboven een driedelig raam, aan de zijden en eronder door houten planken omgeven en van de geschilderde naam voorzien. Boven het venster siermetselwerk in reliëf. In het schilddak een driehoekig dakvenster. Rechts hiervan een rondboogpaneeldeur met zijramen. De rieten kap is tot vlak hierboven, als rondbogige luifel, doorgetrokken. De rechterzijgevel bestaat uit twee delen. Links een hoog topgeveldeel met twee smalle ramen op de begane grond, een gekoppeld driedelig raam op de verdieping en een drielichts raampje in de topgevel, die is bekleed met planken in sierpatroon. Vervolgens een terugspringend tweelaags deel met ramen op de begane grond en in de rieten kap, die direct boven het venster van de begane grond aanvangt. Dit deel wordt visueel van de achterste eenlaagse aanbouw afgesloten door een baksteen schoorsteen. Deze aanbouw bezit een paneeldeur en vier kleine tweelichtsramen vlak onder de kap. De linkerzijgevel is verdeeld in twee delen. In het deel dat aansluit bij de voorgevel een klein raam, waarboven het rietgedekte deel begint. Hiernaast een topgeveldeel. De achtergevel heeft rechts openslaande deuren onder schilddakje en links boven een dakkapel met rondboograam en een rond gebogen kap met schoorsteen.
