Inleiding.
Het WOONHUIS is gebouwd in 1896-1897 door architect C.P. van Genk in Neo-renaissance stijl voor één van zijn zusters.

Het tweelaagse pand is opgetrokken uit machinale baksteen met speklagen en heeft een afgeplat schilddak met kunstleien, parallel aan de straat. Het pand telt vier traveeën en wordt horizontaal geleed door profiellijsten. De segmentbogige schuifvensters worden omvat en verbonden door een geprofileerde lijst met voluutvormige sluitsteen. Cassetten markeren de borstwering op begane grond en etage. De ingangstravee springt naar voren. De paneeldeur bevindt zich in een segmentboogportiek waarboven een balkon op zware voluutconsoles. De geprofileerde kroonlijst op klosjes met diamantkoppen wordt bij deze travee uitgebreid met voluutconsoles. Een dakkapel met driehoekig fronton vormt de bekroning.

Het woonhuis is van algemeen belang.
