Inleiding.
De garage is gebouwd in 1925 ten behoeve van het naastgelegen herenhuis. Reeds in 1925 is een wijziging op de bouwvergunning gevraagd, betreffende een kamer boven de garage. Onder de woning bevindt zich een garage. Deze aanbouw wordt aan de voorzijde afgesloten door hekwerk.
Omschrijving.
Het tweelaagse pand heeft een plat dak en springt ten opzichte van het herenhuis terug in de rooilijn. De gevels zijn opgetrokken uit machinale baksteen met hardstenen accenten. De begane grond wordt ingenomen door de garagedeuren. Op de verdieping bevinden zich twee T-vensters. De zijgevels zijn blind. De achtergevel is voorzien van een houten balkon met openslaande deuren. Het smeedijzeren hek aan de straatzijde bestaat uit twee openslaande delen. Deze zijn voorzien van spiralen en krullen.
Waardering.
De garage c.a. en het hekwerk zijn van algemeen belang. Het geheel heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een sociaal-economische ontwikkeling, namelijk de stichting van herenhuizen in het bestaande stedelijk weefsel en tevens is het van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van bijgebouwen bij herenhuizen. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de stijl en de detaillering. Het is van belang vanwege de gaafheid van het exterieur en vanwege de hoogwaardige architectonische kwaliteit van de onderdelen van het complex.
