Inleiding.
Op het voorplein van de Annakapel staat een uit ca. 1890 daterend Neogotisch BEELD van de Heilige Anna met Maria als kind.
Omschrijving.
Op een door klimop begroeide sokkel staat een wit stenen beeld. Moeder Anna heeft zich achter haar kleine dochter Maria opgesteld, waarbij zij met de rechterhand wijst op de schriftrol die de laatste aan het lezen is. De linkerhand rust op de schouder van Maria. Beide staande figuren gaan hierin geconcentreerd op. De gezichten, beide met geloken ogen, zijn voorzien van een hoofddoek en beide dragen lange sober geplooide gewaden. De kijkrichting van Anna is iets naar links, terwijl Maria de schriftrol met een naar rechts genegen hoofd beziet. De standhouding van beiden laat de specifiek gotische S-vorm zien.

On a plinth overgrown with ivy stands a white stone statue. Mother Anna has positioned herself behind her little daughter Mary, whereby she points with her right hand at the scroll that the latter is reading. Her left hand rests on Mary's shoulder. Both standing figures are concentrated on this. The faces, both with closed eyes, are furnished with a head covering and both wear long soberly draped garments. Anna's line of sight is slightly to the left, whilst Mary views the scroll with her head inclined to the right. The stance of both shows the specifically Gothic S-curve.
Valuation.
The statue is of general importance.
