Inleiding
WINKELWOONHUIS uit omstreeks 1850 met nagenoeg in oorspronkelijke staat verkerend winkelinterieur uit circa 1910. Aan de achterzijde een plat afgedekte jongere aanbouw.
Het pand is beeldbepalend gesitueerd in de gevelwand van de Julianastraat.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken pand bestaande uit twee bouwlagen onder zadeldak met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen, waarvan de noklijn evenwijdig aan de straat. De voorgevel heeft een natuurstenen plint en wordt afgesloten door een geprofileerde gootlijst op klossen. Op de begane grond de houten winkelpui gevormd door twee etalages aan weerszijden van een terugliggende glasdeur onder een zware latei. Daarboven een in blokken met schijnvoeg gepleisterde verdieping met gepleisterde hoeklisenen, die zich ook aan weerszijden van de winkelpui bevinden, en twee zesruits vensters.
INTERIEUR Op de begane grond een kamer-en-suite met in het voorste gedeelte het oorspronkelijke winkelinterieur met etalagekasten, een grote wandkast en een toonbank. Schuifdeuren met oud glas en in de achterkamer een paneellambrizering en schouw. Keuken met oude tegelvloer en privaat. Op de verdieping is de oorspronkelijke indeling met bedstee.
Waardering
Het pand met bijbehorend interieur is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als representatief en gaaf voorbeeld van een woonwinkelpand in sobere vormgeving uit het midden van de 19de eeuw met een gaaf bewaard winkelinterieur uit omstreeks 1910.
Het pand is beeldbepalend gesitueerd in de Julianastraat.
Dergelijke eenvoudige doch gave woonwinkelpandjes hebben een hoge zeldzaamheidswaarde.

SHOP-DWELLING from circa 1850 with a shop interior in substantially original condition from circa 1910. At the rear a younger flat-roofed extension.

Description
Property built on a rectangular ground plan consisting of two storeys beneath a gabled roof with covered Dutch tiles, with the ridge line parallel to the street. The front facade has a natural stone plinth and is terminated by a moulded drip moulding on consoles. On the ground floor the wooden shop front formed by two display windows on either side of a recessed glass door beneath a heavy lintel. Above it a storey finished in blocks with false joints, with moulded corner pilasters, which also run on either sides of the shop front, and two six-pane windows.
INTERIOR On the ground floor a suite of rooms with in the front section the original shop interior with display cabinets, a large wall cupboard and a counter. Sash doors with old glass and in the back room a panelled wainscoting and fireplace. Kitchen with old tiled floor and privy. On the first floor the original layout with box bed.

The property with its associated interior is of general importance because of its cultural- and architectural-historical value as a representative and well-preserved example of a shop-dwelling in plain design from the mid-19th century with a well-preserved shop interior from circa 1910.
