Inleiding
Vaste BRUG over de Warffumermaar gelegen op het punt waar de maar vertakt in de haven van Warffum. De brug, die eigendom is van het waterschap Noorderzijlvest (voorheen Noordpolder) kwam in 1901 in de plaats van een oude brug uit 1825. In 1923 vond er een vernieuwing plaats, waarbij de brug werd voorzien van ijzeren liggers en van een dek van gewapend beton afgedekt met asfalt. De breedte van de brug tussen de leuningen bedroeg 3.5 meter. De oorspronkelijke landhoofden met bakstenen troggewelven, zo karakteristiek voor de provincie Groningen, bleven ongewijzigd.
De brug die aan het eind van de Havenstraat ligt vormt een markante entree tot het dorp Warffum.
Omschrijving
Vaste BRUG over de Warffumermaar bestaande uit twee in roodbruine baksteen opgemetselde landhoofden, verbonden door een brugdek met brugleuningen. De landhoofden zijn uitgevoerd als bakstenen troggewelven tussen staande ijzeren balken. Het brugdek is van gewapend beton dat met asfalt is afgedekt en rust op twee ijzeren dwarsliggers. De beide leuningen zijn van ijzer en bestaan uit staanders, twee dwarsregels en een handlijst.

Fixed BRIDGE over the Warffumermaar located at the point where the maar branches into the harbour of Warffum.
