Inleiding
Het TRANSFORMATORHUIS bevindt zich ten zuiden van het dorp Abbega, aan de noordzijde van de Hissedyk, op de kruising waar Twiska, Pikesyl en Hissedyk bij elkaar komen en is naar het westen gericht. Het transformatorhuis is in 1927 gebouwd in een Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant tegelijkertijd met het gemaal nr. 24, aan het Hissemeer en daarmee verbonden via een bovenleiding. Het Waterschap Heeg, dat in 1918 werd opgericht, verving rond 1925 alle in zijn gebied liggende windmolens door 29 elektrische gemalen, die "gevoed" werden door transformatorhuizen. Sommige tranformatorhuizen waren "eenhuizig" met het gemaal gecombineerd, andere -zoals in dit geval- tweehuizig. Dit transformatorhuis is één van de weinige exemplaren dat nog steeds functioneert in combinatie met het oorspronkelijke gemaal en de oorspronkelijke electrische bovenleiding.

Introduction
The TRANSFORMER HOUSE is located south of the village of Abbega, on the north side of the Hissedyk, at the crossing where Twiska, Pikesyl and Hissedyk meet, and is oriented to the west. The transformer house was built in 1927 in a Craft-traditional building style at the same time as pumping station no. 24, at the Hissemeer, and is connected to it via an overhead line. Description
The transformer house has a rectangular plan and is covered by a gabled roof of red tiles. It is built of brown brick. Both the east and west gables have a metal door with a brick step; at the top is a triangular ventilation opening consisting of a few angled wooden slats.
