Omschrijving
IJSKELDER
De ijskelder, 18e eeuw, bevindt zich noordoostelijk van het kasteelterrein juist buiten de buitenomgrachting. In de kunstmatig opgeworpen ca 4 meter hoge heuvel twee bakstenen keermuren ter weerszijden van de toegang. De ommetselde ronde binnenruimte is toegankelijk via een deur beganegronds, waarboven twee rondboogstrekken. Dit zijn sporen van twee voormalige entrees, maar mogelijk hebben de bogen ook een ontlastende functie.
WAARDERING
Van algemeen belang:

Description
ICE HOUSE
The ice house, 18th century, is situated northeast of the castle grounds just outside the outer moat. In the artificially raised approximately 4 metre high mound two brick retaining walls on either side of the entrance. The enclosed round interior space is accessible via a door on the ground floor, above which two semicircular arched sections. These are traces of two former entrances, but possibly the arches also had a relieving function.
