Inleiding
Vrijstaand HOUTEN WOONHUIS, gelegen op de hoek van de Heldringsweg en de Arckelaan te Hoenderloo. Het huis, De Arcke genaamd, is vermoedelijk gebouwd rond 1905-1910 als bouwpakket afkomstig uit Noorwegen. Tegen de rechterzijde van het huis stond in oorsprong een bediendenwoning.
Omschrijving
Het houten pand, op een bakstenen basement, is opgetrokken op rechthoekige grondslag en telt één bouwlaag onder een met rode tuiles du Nord gedekt gebroken dak. Het basement is gemetseld in kruisverband en bevat een kelder. De begane grond is daardoor enigszins verhoogd gelegen. Het pand heeft aan alle zijden een houten hoofdgestel ter markering van de verdiepingsvloer, de kroonlijst gaat ter plaatse van de aansluiting met daken over in een ver uitstekende bakgoot.
De VOORGEVEL bevat links een ver naar voren uitgebouwde risaliet onder een afgewolfde gebroken steekkap. De begane grond heeft hier een venster met 2-ruits stolpraam en gedeeld bovenlicht met 6-ruits ramen. De verdieping heeft een gedeeld venster met twee 12-ruits ramen. Het rechter deel van de gevel bevat links, in de binnenhoek, de hoofdentree, bestaande uit een stolpdeur met 4-ruits ramen boven panelen en een meerruits bovenlicht met diagonaal geplaatste roeden en bezet met geel kathedraalglas. Rechts van de entree een 8-ruits venster bezet met geel kathedraalglas en rechts hiervan drie gekoppelde vensters, naar rechts in hoogte toenemend, die (het verloop van) de trap markeren. De vensters hebben van links naar rechts een 6-ruits, een 12-ruits en een 18-ruits raam, alle bezet met geel kathedraalglas. Het dakschild heeft een dakkapel met drie gekoppelde vensters met 8-ruits ramen. De plint bevat enkele ventilatieopeningen, ontlast door een steens rollaag en in beide geveldelen een kelderlicht, ontlast door een anderhalf steens strek.
De LINKER ZIJGEVEL heeft links een venster, waarvan de onderste helft 2-ruits is en de bovenste helft 21-ruits. In het midden een drielicht met persiennes. Het drielicht heeft links en rechts onder 8-ruits en boven 6-ruits ramen en in het midden onder twee enkelruits draairamen en boven een 12-ruits raam. Rechts een houten deur met enkelruits bovenlicht. Geheel rechts in het risaliet een liggend 8-ruits venster bezet met geel kathedraalglas. De verdieping heeft twee 20-ruits stolpvensters met persiennes. De geveltop heeft een ellipsvormig 4-ruits venster. Vensters en deur zijn gevat in een eenvoudige omlijsting. De plint heeft enige ventilatieopeningen, ontlast door een steens rollaag.
De ACHTERGEVEL heeft links en in het midden een venster met onder drie enkelruits ramen en één 24-ruits bovenlicht. Beide vensters met persiennes. Rechts een grote pui met in het midden een 2-ruits stolpdeur met 16-ruits bovenlicht en links een rechts een raam, waarvan de onderste helft enkelruits is en de bovenste helft 12-ruits. De plint heeft enige ventilatieopeningen, ontlast door een steens rollaag. Het dakvlak heeft drie dakkapellen, de linker en de rechter met twee ramen de middelste met drie ramen, allen voorzien van dubbel glas met roetjes tussen de glasplaten.
De symmetrisch ingedeelde RECHTER ZIJGEVEL heeft op de begane grond twee kruisvensters met persiennes, enkelruits onderramen en 6-ruits bovenramen. De verdieping heeft twee 20-ruits stolpvensters met persiennes. De geveltop heeft een ellipsvormig 4-ruits venster. De vensters zijn gevat in een eenvoudige omlijsting. De plint heeft enige ventilatieopeningen, ontlast door een steens rollaag.
Het INTERIEUR is grotendeels intact en bevat een tweetal zwartmarmeren schoorsteenmantels en paneeldeuren met gecanneleerde omlijstingen.
Waardering
HOUTEN HUIS uit het eerste kwart van de 20ste eeuw, als bouwpakket afkomstig uit Noorwegen.
- Van architectuurhistorische en typologische waarde als goed en gaaf bewaard voorbeeld van een houten prefab woning uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw. Het pand valt op door de karakteristieke en de zorgvuldige detailleringen van de diverse houten onderdelen.

Detached WOODEN RESIDENTIAL HOUSE, located at the corner of the Heldringsweg and the Arckelaan in Hoenderloo. The right section of the facade contains on the left, in the inner corner, the main entrance, consisting of a hopper door with 4-pane windows above panels and a multi-pane fanlight with diagonally placed glazing bars and fitted with yellow cathedral glass. To the right of the entrance an 8-pane window fitted with yellow cathedral glass and to the right of this three coupled windows, increasing in height towards the right, which mark (the course of) the stair. The windows have from left to right a 6-pane, a 12-pane and an 18-pane window, all fitted with yellow cathedral glass. The roof panel has a roof dormer with three coupled windows with 8-pane windows. The REAR FACADE has on the left and in the centre a window with below three single-pane windows and one 24-pane fanlight. Both windows with shutters. On the right a large opening with in the centre a 2-pane hopper door with 16-pane fanlight and on the left and right a window, of which the lower half is single-pane and the upper half is 12-pane. The plinth has some ventilation openings, relieved by a brick roll course. The roof surface has three roof dormers, the left and the right with two windows the middle with three windows, all provided with double glazing with glazing bars between the panes.
