Inleiding
Dit ATELIER werd in 1913 door architect CHRIS WEGERIF toegevoegd aan het pand Burgemeester Tutein Noltheniuslaan 14 van Pieter Puype. Puype was door burgemeester Nolthenius uit Vlissingen naar Apeldoorn gehaald om daar tekenles te komen geven. Het atelier bevindt zich achter het aan de zuidzijde van de straat gesitueerde woonhuis en is vanaf deze straat voor een deel zichtbaar. Oorspronkelijk was er in het woonhuis een atelier gevestigd. Dit werd vermoedelijk al snel te klein en in 1913 werd er een nieuw atelier gebouwd.
Omschrijving
Het atelier uit 1913 heeft een rechthoekig grondvlak en gepleisterde gevels. Het zadeldak is met rode Hollandse pannen belegd en heeft houten windveren. Het linkerschild is ter plaatse van twee schuin geplaatste dakkapellen opgelicht. Deze twee dakkapellen doorsnijden ook het gevelvlak en dienden ter verlichting van het voormalige atelier. De voorgevel heeft een brede driedelige deuropening (modern) en een ronde gevelopening in de geveltop, waarin zich een reliëf met het gelaat van beeldhouwer Puype bevindt. De rechterzijgevel bevat een moderne tuindeur en een uitgebouwd gedeelte ter plaatse van de achtergevel. In het interieur heeft het atelier enkele houten laminaatboogspanten.
