Inleiding
In 1892 gebouwde reeks van drie geschakelde WOONHUIZEN in één opzet, naar ontwerp van architect P.J. Houtzagers, schuin in de rooilijn gelegen vanwege de relatie tot het parkontwerp Emmalaan van de hand van T. Loran.

Vrijstaand blok van drie panden op min of meer rechthoekige plattegrond met souterrain, twee bouwlagen en een samenstel van zadeldaken met steekkappen, gedekt met gesmoorde kruispan. Geheel in baksteen opgetrokken gevels met gekleurde baksteendecoraties, met verspringende bouwdelen, waarvan een enkele hoger opgetrokken is, tevens met houten en stenen erkers, het geheel beëindigd met grillige daklijn met brede overstek en geschubt zinken daklijst. Dakkapellen met leien gedekt en bekroond met pirons.
Vensters op begane grond met segmentbogen, op tweede bouwlaag met rondbogen, derde bouwlaag met diverse boogvormige vensterbeëindigingen, alle bogen met tandlijsten, alle boogvelden met gekleurde baksteen motieven. Andere decoraties onder meer in de vorm van nissen, tandlijsten, vierpassen en pirons op de nokken. Paneeldeuren met siersmeedwerk, trappen en ijzeren hekwerk op bakstenen muurtje. Achtergevel nummer 25 met neogotische veranda over de eerste twee bouwlagen.
Interieurs met ondermeer stucwerkplafonds, lijstwerk rond vensters en deuren en diverse schouwen. In nummer 25 een schouw met haardstenen.
Waardering
Woonhuizen van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van Overgangarchitectuur en als onderdeel van het oeuvre van architect Houtzagers. Vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van speciaal ontworpen woningen voor de gegoede middenstand rond 1900. Tevens vanwege de stedenbouwkundige waarde vanwege de oriëntering op het parkontwerp van T. Loran voor de Emmalaan.

Entirely brick-constructed facades with coloured brick decorations, with projecting building elements, some of which are set higher, also with wooden and stone bay windows, the whole terminated with an irregular roof line with broad overhang and scaled zinc roof edge. Roof dormers with slate covering and crowned with finials.
Windows on the ground floor with segmental arches, on the second storey with round arches, third storey with various arched window terminations, all arches with dentil bands, all arch fields with coloured brick motifs. Other decorations in the form of niches, dentil bands, quatrefoils and finials on the ridges. Panel doors with ornamental ironwork, stairs and iron railings on brick wall. Rear facade number 25 with neo-Gothic veranda over the first two storeys.
Interiors with among others stucco ceilings, moulding around windows and doors and various fireplaces. In number 25 a fireplace with hearth stones.
