Inleiding
HERENBRUG met ijzeren BRUGLEUNING, in 1905 gebouwd in Jugendstil over de singelgracht ontworpen door A.W.C. Dwars, in opdracht van de Dienst Gemeentewerken onder leiding van F.J. Nieuwenhuis, met bijbehorende LANTAARNS Een HEKWERK.
Omschrijving
Vaste brug, aansluitend op de Herenstraat, op geheide schoorpalen met paraboolvormige overspanning in gewapend beton, bekleed met hardsteen. Landhoofden ommetseld in baksteen met hardstenen afdekplaten. Aan beide zijden van de brug twee lantaarnposten (4 in totaal) van hardsteen, daarop smeedijzeren lantaarns in Jugendstil vormgeving. Hekwerk met gestileerde plantenmotieven.
Waardering
Vaste BRUG met bijbehorende onderdelen over de Maliesingel van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van Jugendstil, tevens vanwege de bouwhistorische waarde als een van de oudste nog bestaande bruggen in gewapend beton in Nederland.

LADIES BRIDGE with iron BRIDGE RAILING, built in 1905 in Jugendstil over the ring canal designed by A.W.C. Dwars, commissioned by the Municipal Works Service under the direction of F.J. Nieuwenhuis, with associated LANTERNS and RAILINGS.
Description
Fixed bridge, adjoining Herenstraat, on driven piles with parabolic spanning in reinforced concrete, faced with hardstone. Abutments bricked in with hardstone cap plates. On both sides of the bridge two lamposts (4 in total) of hardstone, on them wrought iron lamps in Jugendstil design. Railing with stylised plant motifs.
Valuation
Fixed BRIDGE with associated components over the Maliesingel of general importance because of the architectural-historical value as an example of Jugendstil, and also because of the building-historical value as one of the oldest surviving bridges in reinforced concrete in the Netherlands.
