Inleiding
WOONWINKELPAND in 1901 gebouwd voor de firma Noack in eclectische stijl naar ontwerp van M.E. Kuiler in een hoofzakelijk door de Art Nouveau beinvloede stijl.
Omschrijving
Pand op rechthoekige plattegrond van drie bouwlagen en kruispannen afgeplat schilddak waarin platgedekte dakkapel. Bakstenen gevel met detaillering in geglazuurde baksteen, natuursteen, kunststeen en tegels. Begane grond met vernieuwde winkelpui op deels nog aanwezige natuurstenen basement. De omlijsting van de pui bestaat uit kunststenen penanten met Art Nouveau detaillering, bij de tweede bouwlaag overgaand in een hoefijzerboogvormige nis, met op de overgang van beide bouwlagen twee gebeeldhouwde aapjes. De hoefijzerboogvormige nis van de tweede bouwlaag is uitgevoerd in kunststeen met natuurstenen sluitsteen met plantenmotief en jaartal "1901". Binnen de nis een driedelig houten kozijn met dubbele balkondeuren en aan weerszijden van het bovenlicht tegeltableaus met Art Nouveau-motieven. Bovenzijde van de balkondeuren en de ramen en het bovenlicht hebben een roedenverdeling. Over gehele breedte ijzeren balkonhek met Art Nouveau-motieven.
De derde bouwlaag ligt voor wat betreft het linkerdeel van de gevel, terug achter een stenen opengewerkte borstwering, een balkon afschermend. Het rechterdeel van de gevel hier iongenomen door, waarnaast rechts een vierkante toren in het gevelvlak met tentdak, bekroond met een fleuron. De toren heeft aan drie zijden een venster.
Langs de gehele dakrand, verspringend bij de toren, een geprofileerde daklijst op klossen.

Woonwinkelpand van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als goed voorbeeld van een pand met een op de vormentaal van de Art Nouveau geënte eclectische stijl.

Description
Building on rectangular plan of three storeys and hipped roof with half-hipped ends and a roof dormer with flat roof. Brick facade with detailing in glazed brick, natural stone, artificial stone and tiles. Ground floor with renewed shop front on partly still present natural stone basement. The framing of the shop front consists of artificial stone pilasters with Art Nouveau detailing, at the second storey transitioning into a horseshoe arch-shaped niche, with two carved monkeys on the transition between both storeys. The horseshoe arch-shaped niche of the second storey is executed in artificial stone with natural stone keystones with plant motif and date "1901". Within the niche a three-part wooden window frame with double balcony doors and on either side of the fanlight tile panels with Art Nouveau motifs. The upper side of the balcony doors and the windows and the fanlight have glazing bars. Across the entire width an iron balcony railing with Art Nouveau motifs.
The third storey, as far as the left part of the facade is concerned, is set back behind a stone open-worked parapet, screening a balcony. The right part of the facade is taken up here, and to the right of this a square tower in the facade plane with tent roof, crowned with a fleuron. The tower has a window on three sides.
Along the entire roof edge, stepping back at the tower, a profiled drip moulding on corbels.

Dwelling-shop building of general importance because of the architectural-historical value as a good example of a building with an eclectic style based on the Art Nouveau vocabulary.
