Omschrijving
Een middeleeuws pand van momenteel drie, oorspronkelijk twee, bouwlagen op een hoge kelder.
Oorspronkelijk vormde dit vier vakken diepe pand samen met het achterhuis Zadelstraat 31 een bijzonder groot huis onder een fors zadeldak. Dit dak was als schilddak nog aanwezig toen rond 1900 de zolder werd uitgebouwd tot een tweede verdieping.
Samen met Zadelstraat 31 vormde dit, huis het grootste middeleeuwse pand tussen Buurkerkhof en Zadelstraat. Qua eigendom was het in de middeleeuwen reeds gesplitst. De middeleeuwse bestemming van het gebouw is niet bekend.
De samengestelde balklagen zijn in ieder geval boven de verdieping van Buurkerkhof 9 aanwezig, compleet met gemenageerde sleutelstukken met een groef overdwars aan de onderzijde. Merkwaardig is dat bij alle exemplaren hetzelfde neuslijstje op de zijkant van de peerkraal wordt omgezet.
De voorgevel is twee traveeën breed, behalve op de hoge beganegrond waar drie traveeen zijn. Voor de deur is een trapje van vijf treden.
Het pand is van bouwhistorisch belang.

Description
A medieval building of currently three, originally two, storeys on a high cellar.
Originally this four-bays-deep building formed together with the rear house Zadelstraat 31 a particularly large house under a substantial gabled roof. This roof was still present as a hipped roof when around 1900 the attic was built out to a second storey.
Together with Zadelstraat 31, this house formed the largest medieval building between Buurkerkhof and Zadelstraat. In terms of ownership it was already split in the medieval period. The medieval purpose of the building is not known.
The composite beam floors are in any case present above the floor level of Buurkerkhof 9, complete with mortised key stones with a groove across the underside. Remarkable is that in all examples the same small nosing moulding on the side of the pear-craal is turned over.
The front gable is two bays wide, except on the high ground floor where there are three bays. In front of the door is a flight of five steps.
The building is of architectural-historical importance.
