Omschrijving
Villatuin onderdeel van het fabriekscomplex Jongerius. De tuin ligt rondom de villa en is vrijwel direct na de bouw van het huis rond 1938 aangelegd in een stijl aansluitend bij die van het huis (Nieuwe Zakelijkheid). De terrassen rondom het huis worden afgesloten met gemetselde en gepleisterde plantenbakken. Aan de voorzijde bevindt zich een rondlopend oprijpad met aan beide zijden een bruggetje over de Grift en een hek langs de voorzijde. Aan de achterzijde is het opvallendste element de (restanten van) de pergola die van de achterdeur van de villa leidde naar het fabriekskantoor. Rondom dit geheel bevindt zich een aanleg van perken, gemetselde muurtjes annex plantenbakken, gazons, voetinghekjes van rond buisstaal en een U-vormige vijver. De beplanting (perken, bakken en begroeiing pergola) is door achterstallig onderhoud verdwenen of sterk verwaarloosd. De loopvlakken zijn belegd met roodgebakken tegels.

Description
Villa garden component of the Jongerius factory complex. The garden is situated around the villa and was laid out shortly after the construction of the house around 1938 in a style in keeping with that of the house (New Objectivity). The terraces around the house are enclosed with mortared and rendered planting boxes. At the front there is a circular drive with on both sides a small bridge over the Grift and a fence along the front. At the rear the most striking element is the (remains of) the pergola which led from the back door of the villa to the factory office. Around this entire area there is a layout of beds, mortared walls as well as planting boxes, lawns, foot-high fences of round steel tube and a U-shaped pond. The planting (beds, boxes and pergola vegetation) has disappeared or become severely neglected through lack of maintenance. The walking surfaces are laid with red-baked tiles.
