DIENSTWONING. Een rond 1850 gebouwde dienstwoning, gelegen naast de zuidelijke oprijlaan naar huis Hoekelum, opgetrokken in baksteen, op rechthoekige grondslag, onder rieten wolfsdak met vorstpannen. Het linker dakschild is voorzien van daklichten, het rechter van dakvensters met gebogen bovenzijde. De naar het park gerichte voorgevel is relatief rijk uitgevoerd met hoeklisenen en afgewolfe klokgevel met spitsboogvenster. Onder het wolfseind is een geprofileerde lijst aangebracht. Beganegronds aan weerszijden een rondvenster met dwarskruisvormige roedengeleding. Rechter gevel: centraal een deurkozijn, vermoedelijk aangebracht in de bouwtijd van de woning, met nieuwe deur. Aan weerszijden een venster van recente datum. Ook in linker gevel twee vensters van recente datum. Achtergevel: de achtergevel is van een forser wolfseind voorzien dan de voorgevel. Links een opgeklampte deur, rechts een stolpvenster met nieuwe luiken. Inwendig: oude onderdelen zijn de tegels in de hal, deuren van de voormalige bedsteden en de trap in de kelder.

De DIENSTWONING is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch en architectonisch belang:

SERVANTS' HOUSE. A servants' house built around 1850, located beside the southern approach avenue to house Hoekelum, constructed in brick, on a rectangular ground plan, under a thatched half-hipped roof with frost tiles. The left roof slope is furnished with roof lights, the right with roof windows with curved tops. The front facade facing the park is relatively richly executed with corner strips and a curved bell gable with pointed arch window. Under the half-hipped end a moulded list has been applied. On the ground floor on both sides a round window with a cross-shaped glazing bars. Right facade: centrally a door frame, presumably installed at the time of construction of the house, with a new door. On both sides a window of recent date. Also in the left facade two windows of recent date. Rear facade: the rear facade is furnished with a more substantial half-hipped end than the front facade. On the left a clamped door, on the right a half-hipped window with new shutters. Interior: old components are the tiles in the hall, doors of the former bed alcoves and the staircase in the cellar.
