TUINMUUR MET POORT. Langs de noord- en westzijde wordt het terrein van de state begrensd door een tuinmuur. De monumentale toegangspoort in de noordzijde vertoont het jaartal van de bouw '1910' en het opschrift Dekemastate. De licht getoogde poort is gevat in een zware omlijsting van metselwerk, versierd met natuursteen, waaronder twee grote bollen ter bekroning van het geheel. De poort deed in hoofdzaak dienst bij begrafenissen. De muur bestaat uit twee halfsteens muurdelen met een spouw ertussen, die aan de bovenzijde wordt afgedekt met een ezelsrug waarop tuile-du-nord dakpannen met nokvorsten. Door de spouw functioneert de muur in de tuin als warmtemuur voor leifruit.

Description
GARDEN WALL WITH GATE. Along the north and west sides, the estate grounds are bounded by a garden wall. The monumental entrance gate on the north side shows the year of construction '1910' and the inscription Dekemastate. The slightly arched gate is set in a heavy masonry frame, decorated with natural stone, including two large spheres as a crown to the whole. The gate mainly served for funerals. The wall consists of two half-brick wall sections with a cavity between them, which is covered at the top with a rounded ridge on which tuile-du-nord roof tiles with ridge finials. Through the cavity, the wall functions in the garden as a warmth wall for espalier fruit.
