In the corner of two cross-arms the tower is positioned with an entrance in an elevated semicircular form and a surround of stepped-back brickwork. The tower is provided on each side with a niche with a natural stone drip moulding at the base. In the middle of the tower is a narrow vertically placed window; at the top a plastered square panel, originally intended for a clock face. The niches are terminated by a surrounding horizontal natural stone band, above which the sound holes are arranged. The tower is crowned by a spire with a weather vane. The spire is provided with four small roof gablets, on which the clocks are mounted. The tower is flanked below by two small round volumes with conical roofs, beneath which continuous horizontal window strips are placed. The apex gables of three side-arms have pointed-arch leaded glass windows with window tracery in natural stone. On the northern cross-arm the sexton's house with meeting hall is situated. This is an L-shaped building section in two storeys linked with gabled and hipped roofs.
