Waardering

An extension in three storeys was realised on the rear façade. Three windows were added in the left part of the left side façade.

The extension on the rear façade is excluded from protection.

Valuation

This corner building is of cultural-historical value as a remarkable expression of a typological development. The building possesses architectural-historical value because of its special significance for the supra-regional history of architecture; as an example of the oeuvre of architect J. Bongaerts from Roermond; due to the high-quality aesthetic qualities of the design and the ornamentation. This building is of importance due to the architectural integrity of the exterior and part of the interior, and the reasonable degree of architectural-historical and typological rarity.
