Inleiding
LOURDESGROT gebouwd in 1914-1915. Het Mariabeeld dat in de grotwand geplaatst is, is afkomstig uit het atelier van Cuijpers. De grot werd opgericht om de processiegang meer luister bij te zetten naar voorbeeld van de Lourdesgrot waar de Maagd Maria aan Bernadette verscheen. Het processiepad, waar de grot onderdeel van uitmaakt, werd in 1912 aangelegd nadat pastoor Butzelaar had besloten de Sacramentsdag, afgeschaft door Paus Pius X, door middel van een jaarlijkse processie in ere te houden. De grot staat op een driesprong in de kern van Luttenberg.

Kunstmatige rotspartij met grof pleisterwerk, omringd door een smeedijzeren hek. In een nis is een Mariabeeld geplaatst.

Introduction
LOURDES GROTTO built in 1914-1915. The Madonna statue placed in the grotto wall comes from the workshop of Cuijpers. The grotto was erected to add lustre to the processional path following the example of the Lourdes Grotto where the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette. The processional path, of which the grotto forms part, was laid out in 1912 after Pastor Butzelaar decided to honour the Feast of Corpus Christi, abolished by Pope Pius X, by means of an annual procession. The grotto stands at a crossroads in the centre of Luttenberg.
Description
Artificial rock formation with rough plasterwork, surrounded by a wrought-iron fence. A Madonna statue is placed in a niche.
