Hoge bakstenen RINGMUUR met aan de buitenzijde steunberen met hardstenen afdekkingen. De bovenbeëindiging is niet oorspronkelijk. De muur wordt onderbroken door oude en nieuwe gebouwen en maakt een knik aan de westzijde.
Waardering
De uit 1899-1901 daterende ringmuur is van algemeen belang wegens cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als historisch functioneel onderdeel van het Haarlemse gevangeniscomplex.

A high brick RING WALL with buttresses on the outside having hardstone caps. The top finish is not original. The wall is interrupted by old and new buildings and has an angle at the west side.
Valuation
The ring wall dating from 1899-1901 is of general importance on account of cultural-historical and architectural-historical value as a historically functional component of the Haarlem prison complex.
