Inleiding
Op een schiereiland gelegen en als onderdeel van de oudste aanleg rond 1830 tot stand gekomen kleine JOODSE BEGRAAFPLAATS met eenvoudig centraal bouwwerk, dat waarschijnlijk door J.D. Zocher jr. werd ontworpen.
Omschrijving
De begraafplaats bevat een klein bouwwerk (metaarhuis?) te midden van enkele evenwijdige rijen verticale graftekens die staan opgesteld in noord-zuidelijke richting. Het kleine verdiepingloze en vensterloze bouwwerk is geplaatst op rechthoekig grondplan en wordt afgesloten door een flauw hellend zadeldak gedekt met mastiek. Het muurwerk, dat bestaat uit met cement aangestreken baksteen, wordt geleed door een omgaande cordonlijst. In de voorgevel bevindt zich een grote getoogde ingang met een uit verticale delen samengestelde dubbele deur. De aanzet van de toog valt samen met de hoogte van de genoemde cordonlijst.
De in hardsteen en marmer uitgevoerde verticale graftekens zijn overwegend van een eenvoudige rechthoekige vorm en bevatten merendeels opschriften in het Hebreeuws die aan de oostzijde zijn aangebracht.

Description
The cemetery contains a small building (sexton's house?) in the middle of several rows of vertical grave monuments arranged in a north-south direction. The small single-storey windowless building is placed on a rectangular ground plan and is closed by a gently sloping gabled roof covered with mastic. The masonry, which consists of cement-rendered brick, is articulated by a surrounding cordon moulding. In the front façade is a large arched entrance with a double door composed of vertical elements. The springing of the arch coincides with the height of the afore-mentioned cordon moulding.
The vertical grave monuments executed in hard stone and marble are predominantly of a simple rectangular form and mostly contain inscriptions in Hebrew which are placed on the east side.
Valuation
Well-preserved Jewish cemetery with associated components of importance from a cultural-historical point of view as well as a historical-functional component of the complex of the Algemene Begraafplaats Kleverlaan.
