Inleiding
In het oudste deel van de begraafplaats aan de zijde van de Schoterweg staande GRAFMONUMENT ter ere van de 19de-eeuwse Nederlandse architect C. Outshoorn (1810-1875). Dit monument, waarvan het medaillon werd ontworpen door de beeldhouwer E. Lacomblé, werd in 1876, een jaar na de dood van de architect, geschonken door diens vrienden.
Omschrijving
Het uit harde en zachtere natuursteen samengestelde monument bestaat uit een tempelvorm op vier zuilen op een aan twee zijden getrapte sokkel. Centraal in het monument bevindt zich een blokvormige marmeren kern waarop een medaillon met het profiel van de architect is aangebracht. Het monument bevat diverse opschriften waaronder naam en levensjaren van de overledene: C. OUTSHOORN 1810-1875.
Waardering
Het gaaf bewaarde grafmonument ter ere van C. Outshoorn is van belang uit cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch oogpunt, alsook van belang als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het complex van de Algemene Begraafplaats Kleverlaan.

In the oldest part of the cemetery on the Schoterweg side stands a GRAVE MONUMENT in honour of the 19th-century Dutch architect C. Outshoorn (1810-1875). This monument, whose medallion was designed by sculptor E. Lacomblé, was donated in 1876, a year after the architect's death, by his friends.
Description
The monument, composed of hard and soft natural stone, consists of a temple form on four columns on a base with steps on two sides. In the centre of the monument is a cubic marble core on which is affixed a medallion with the profile of the architect. The monument contains various inscriptions including the name and years of life of the deceased: C. OUTSHOORN 1810-1875.
Valuation
The well-preserved grave monument in honour of C. Outshoorn is of importance from a cultural-historical and architectural-historical point of view, as well as of importance as a historical-functional component of the complex of the Algemene Begraafplaats Kleverlaan.
