Omschrijving
HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Duinbeek. De kern van de aanleg wordt gevormd door de rechthoekige omgrachting rondom het huis dat op een klein eiland met steil talud staat. Rondom is een kleinschalige aanleg in landschapsstijl uit het begin van de 19de eeuw, waarbij de gracht aan de zuidwestzijde met een slinger is uitgraven en eindigt in een lusvormige vijver. Achter het huis ligt een tapstoelopende open ruimte (weide) met coulissenwerking. De weide wordt door bos omsloten waarin een slingerende rondwandeling zonder zichten naar het huis of het omringende landschap. Op een Topografische Militaire Kaart uit 1911 is te zien dat er oorspronkelijk een pad door de weide liep waardoor een vrij zicht op de achterzijde van het huis werd verkregen. Veel oude bomen zijn bij de inundatie in 1943 geveld, alleen aan de westzijde zijn eiken bewaard gebleven De formele hoofdas van de aanleg is nog aanwezig en bestaat uit de korte oprijlaan, die zich achter het huis als zichtas voortzet over de reeds genoemde weide tussen boombeplantingen. De oprijlaan heeft laanbeplanting van recent geplante linden en een taxushaag daterend uit ca.1850; het voorplein heeft centraal een rond perk. Een ander onderdeel van de formele aanleg is de rechte Duinbeekseweg, die op de Visser-Roman kaart uit ca.1650 nog een kronkelend verloop had.

HISTORICAL GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the country estate Duinbeek. The core of the layout is formed by the rectangular moat around the house which stands on a small island with steep slope. Around it is a small-scale landscape-style layout from the early 19th century, whereby the moat on the southwest side is excavated in a serpentine manner and ends in a loop-shaped pond. Behind the house lies a tapered open space (meadow) with coulisse effect. The meadow is enclosed by woodland in which a winding perambulation runs without views towards the house or the surrounding landscape. On a Topographic Military Map from 1911 it can be seen that originally a path ran through the meadow creating a clear view of the rear of the house. Many old trees were felled during the inundation of 1943, only on the west side oaks have been preserved. The formal main axis of the layout is still present and consists of the short drive, which continues behind the house as a sight line across the aforementioned meadow between tree plantings. The drive has linden avenue planting and a yew hedge dating from circa 1850; the forecourt has a round bed in the centre. Another component of the formal layout is the straight Duinbeekseweg, which on the Visser-Roman map from circa 1650 still had a winding course.
